I have been on your forums and discussed the nature of small gang fights, and suggested that the uni could alter their tactics in order to improve the learning experience, also a side effect would be a gain of respect for the Uni. For the most part I was met with responses of stop qq'ing. Molden Heath would have been perfect in order to learn small gang, small ship pvp, however after the first day, before the war, there were upwards of 20-30 pilots in the system at all times, often in t3 or bcs. As others have said this is not the predominant playstyle of the residents of MH, so there was a reaction in order to even the field. I think that it was quite justified.
I'm enjoying the war, unlikely many pirates I can go in high sec and have enjoyed all the fights that I've got in, and hopefully have taught a couple of unis that they really need to learn about pod saver. So let the war carry on, I fight for MILF.

But unfortunately I don't think that there is anyone within the uni at the moment who is pushing for (what I consider) small gang fights. Not that I'm the person to do it, I certainly am not skilled enough to guide myself, let alone anyone else, but the uni will usually only fight if it outnumbers its foes and if you are fighting low skilled pilots then it does become imbalanced. And just strikes me as illogical as I assume that learning is more important then winning?

Your blob can only be in one place at a time over 80+% of the UNI is carebears that won't come and fight. Allies won't change that besides that mechanic changes in a couple of weeks.
If you desire a 'forever war' you shall have it, new mechanics means we can afford to pay for it ad infinitum.

You could have moved your lowsec camp into any number of system in Molden Heath, you moved it specifically into the local pirates fight club system and into one of their home stations. And then started camping the stations and gates ruining the area for small frigate combat, for which it was previously unrivalled.
There was a good thing you kicked in the front door with 40 people and then decided to get all uppity too, ruining said good thing.

If you had moved into Atlar, Istodard, Egbinger or any other of the 'empty' MH systems and not parked 30 man blob camps on gates making our own newbies loose their rifters without ever getting to fire a shot, none of this would have been necessary. We would have been happy come and fight you in various size gangs or come and asked for 1vs1's. We still will but not on the terms you're presenting us with.

I am 99% sure that the OP is a troll but a lot of the discussion in this thread is actually quite serious. I am not going to remark about past wars or anything about EUni's history. That stuff is not relevant here. I am only going to write about what is going on here and now. Even though I haven't been active in the last couple weeks, I have been observing this entire mess from the sidelines, shaking my head.

Before EUni moved in to Heild, it was a beautiful active PvP area for corps like r1fta and RANSM (and others) where we could randomly go in gangs of anywhere between 1-10 ships. Often we would have engagements such as frigate fights on the frigate plex, sometimes with battlecruisers and occasionally battleships. Fleet numbers were rarely above 10. ECM was rare as we all know what a plague ECM is in smallgang warfare. There were occasional passing/troll blobs, but overall this was true small gang PvP. It was fun and beautiful.

Then EUni moved in. Suddenly Heild's local number shot up to 50 and stayed there. A lot of these guys were newbies and frigate pilots, but a huge chunk of them flew griffins and blackbirds and many also flew battlecruisers and battleships. Any engagement in Heild would immediately be dropped upon by a gang of 30 assorted ships with 5+ blackbirds in tow. Gatecamps of 20+ ships with said blackbirds and griffins became a common occurance. How is any TRUE small gang corp supposed to survive in such an atmosphere? It is impossible. Essentially, EUni's decision to make Heild their new base camp completely ruined the surrounding ecosystem. Keep in mind that this is before the wardecs even started.

At this point the corps decided to dec EUni (keep in mind I was inactive and had no part in this). This was for several reasons.
1) Gateguns. We were already fighting against insurmountable odds and we wanted to remove gateguns from the equation.
2) We want to make it clear to EUni that we did not appreciate their presence and current tactics.

At this point the war seems to have spiralled a little out of control with some diplomats in EUni interpreting it as an act of all-out aggression, that we want to END YOUR ALLIANCE'S EXISTENCE. I have read chat logs where EUni leaders and FC's (not just lowly newbies) have expressed their feelings of complete disgust for our pirate corps because of our little wardec. To this I can only feel amused at how personal people can take this game. A wardec does not always mean that we hate your guts and wish to make you quit the game.

EUni has always prided itself on being able to teach new members how to become respected PvPers and members of a community. I also suspect the real reason you moved down to MH was because you heard it was a hub of smallgang PvP and wanted your newbies to enjoy some of the action. Well, Molden Heath is a very old community house and you have basically banged down the front door and erected a statue of your corp and turned it into a blob v blob area.

If you had approached this move differently, say, only sent a small contingent of 10 newbies with a leader or two, this would have all turned out differently. You would have enjoyed constant small-gang frigate PvP with the r1fta buddies, occasional bigger fights with RANSM, all the while learning how to play the game in a skillful manner. Another approach would have been to allow local talk and set up arrange fights with 10 of you with only 1 blackbird against 5 of us (we don't mind fighting against SOME odds, especially since we generally have much higher SP than you guys). These options would have led to individual pilots in EUni learning what THEY can do in PvP instead of simply being one of a 30 man gang feeling happy because their face is on someone's killmail.

Instead we currently have a situation where the pirate corps of MH and EUni have completely alienated each other.
