Looking good, but how do you switch between the CQ and Hangar? As i dont see a button for it. (In the sreenshots.)

A welcome return of the old, as much as I embrace CQ myself it should not have come at the expense of someone else so arbitrarily.

I like the new CQ hallway. I'm also wondering if we'll get to pick the race of CQ we use or if it'll just be whatever station we're in.

The shader adjustments definitely make people less dull looking, like in the character creator.

I'm happy to hear about the return of more intuitive icons. The new ones don't look -bad-, they just don't really much look like anything. I wouldn't care if they changed the icons again as long as they sort of tell me whether I'm using a laser or a tractor beam.

When a company deciding to un-implement stuff is greeted with near unanimous relief, maybe it's time to start listening to feedback BEFORE roll-outs instead of after roll-outs?

First off...... \0/ Ship Spinning is back!! No more multiple clicks just to leave ship (even though you are standing in a room you still have to leave ship... ??)

An easy, familiar way to navigate your quarters. I may just turn on CQ just for that alone. I do like my door though....

Awesome, thank you Devs. I greatly appreciate the attention you're finally paying to these quality-of-life issues. It will be good to have the hangar view again. For me it was not so much about the ship spinning, but the UI and client performance.

The turret icon revert, also a good idea. Icons should not be about detailed graphics, they work best as abstractions; they exist for the sake of user efficiency.

Great news here. One clarification though:

"Your client will remember your last choice, so if you left your station while boarded, you will be boarded the next time you find yourself in a station and vice versa. "

Am I correct in reading that this setting will be a locally saved setting in your client, and not remembered when moving between computers (as in, I can have the default behaviour be ship spinning on my craptop and captain's quarters on my desktop?

Today is my birthday. I wake up on my birthday to find that the old hangar is being resuscitated, ship spinning is coming back, the turret icons are being reverted to the old clear icons, and a new font may be available...

I love reading these threads :) We have the normal mix of responses on the changes represented:

Spinning Ships?
1) Finally! My life is now complete!
2) You shouldn't have messed with it to begin with.
3) Why are you wasting time on this? (possibly because it is something we overwhelmingly yelled at them about, i.e. making CQ optional)

New Font?
1) Cool! About time.
2) The zeros are still broken.
3) Why are you wasting time on this? (possibly because over the life of eve, this has been the most complained about problem)

New Cyno Effect?
1) \o/
2) It won't be as good as Red Moon Risings
3) Why are you wasting time on this? (maybe because the person who would have worked on this (graphics designers, etc) would not have been working on the kind of changes you want anyway, get over it)

(also known as the optimistic, the bitter and the screw you, i only care about how I play the game and the hell with the rest of you)

Either way, looks great! Consider me cautiously optimistic. Thanks for the new changes, keep em coming. I also very much look forward to changes you have in store for actually flying in space, but both are necessary.

Also please don't push new font to release (Evesans Neue) until all bugs in cyrillic font will be fixed.
BTW http://trial.eveonline.com/ru/eveisreal.aspx font is still broken after few months.

I love all of this, my main question is the following ::


When you said you were going to bring back ship spinning, Torfi, Soundwave definitely said you were making a "new hangar" and it wouldn't be the "old hangar". Have you just decided that it's easier to go back rather than design a new hangar space? Or are you still planning on doing that in the future and using this as the basis of upcoming iterations?

Whoha, for a moment I thought you were going to surprise us with a widespread release of the Opux Luxury Yacht and an adjustments to the COSMOS turrets both in performance and datafile construction requirements. Well... maybe next time.

Oh, and I did manage to sell a couple of 'Arquebus' Heavy Beam Lasers last week. Did you buy them?
