I thought a T2 Mining frig would be ideal for this
-it would be very fast to keep up with the Comets ( different Comets speed from 100m/s-3000m/s ) but would have very bad maneuverability
-able to fit a Microwarbdrive or role bonus reduction MicroWarpdrive Capacitor use
-maybe 1000m³ ore cargo and 200m³ normal cargo

i liked to see this high-speed Comet Mining coming to eve
