Since the tutorials teach jetcan mining, classifying this as an "exploit" seems highly unlikely.

You DO get the first shot, after all...Cool

But if you are serious miner, have a friend nearby in hauler. Or just get a secure can...they are very cheap. You need anchoring skill to anchor them, but thats cheap too. And you are in 0.7, so you CAN anchor the can. They last 30 days and are useful to miners like you.

Everything in EVE is a trap.

And if it isn't, it's your job to make it a trap...:)
