This happens to me all the time when I'm watching frapsed (sp?) Youtube fights.

My most embarrassing one was when I tried to "spin" the artist impressions of the shield damage/internal damage of latest fanfest.

You know you play EVE too much when you measure your life's value in the total value of all your assets on al your accounts combined, ISK included.

Or when you are out of RL money and go to the bank and ask if you can borrow a bit of ISK.

Or when you begin to refer to other people in RL by EVE Archetypes like Carebears or Null-sec pirates.

Or when you get stuck in a traffic jam and blame lag and Warp Disruption Spheres.

Or when somebody tries to ram into your car and you think they're trying to Suicide Gank you.

Or when you talk with a telemarketer and try to rip them off without them noticing.

When you lose your favorite ship before bed, then your first thought next morning is, "Oh sh*t, my ship!" Then on the way to work you go through the 6 stages of loss and grief: shock & denial; pain & guilt; anger & bargaining, depression & reflection; reconstruction & working through; acceptance & hope.

When you criticize schools for not teaching their students even the basics of PVP and other "useful" skills.

When you go to the library and ask for an IV-version (intravenous) of any book (guilty as charged...)

When you know more about recruitment procedures and protocols than your employer or "job-seeking teacher".

When you have bought a 20GB SCSI-connected SSD drive just to run EVE on it (haven't done this yet, but I'm considering it).

When your phone's Contacts-list has a line for Standings under every entry.

When your vacation schedule has more hours for EVE than hours for sleep on it. Worse if it only has EVE and sleep on it.

I used to do this before I heard of EVE. Maybe it's connected to the reasons I play.

FT Diomedes: "Reaver, sometimes I wonder what you are thinking when you sit down to post."

Frostys Virpio: "We have to give it to him that he does put more effort than the vast majority in his idea but damn does it sometime come out of nowhere."

When you dream of spaceships and fleet fights multiple days in a row.

When you think to yourself that waking up in the morning feels like waking up in a fresh clone.

When you aspire to resemble your avatar (?) maybe i have issues

When you frown upon any new mmo that comes out and some RL friends want you to play it with them.

When GD is the first thing you check after social network site.

When looking at the shopping receipt you wonder why it can't have the same layout as eve's wallet transaction.

When you are walking in some poorly lit area at night you feel like you are in 0.0/low and continuously check for any sort of movement.

You reverse your car into the garage... so you can insta-undock....

When the RL pilot your talking to gets confused when you tell him to "primary" those vehicles and get a "point" on the withdrawing armor...

...When the above happens and the rest of the command post thinks its a perfectly reasonable request...

When you think shopping trolleys coming out of the supermarket looks like the Jita undock...

You wish your shopping trolley had nanofiber internals so you could get the jump on the rest...

There is no such thing as a fair fight...

If your fighting fair you have automatically put yourself at a disadvantage.

LOL... I do this... you never know when the RL ganker is gonna attack, better be ready.

My additions:

* When your co-workers ask you why you keep calling them mates.

* When you see somebody being stopped by the police and you say "Concordokken'd!"

When your hangars are one intervention away from being a space version of "Hoarders"

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

When your room is identical to your CQ down to every detail, because otherwise it would be "unfamiliar territory".

When you think that a monthly rent of 10k is nothing.

When you insist on not hiring a professional to fix things because that would go against your Minmatar ideals.

when you use the final toll booth on your trip down the Turnpike and think "Autopilot disabled, Waypoint reached" as you shut the cruise control off on the car,

EVE is like swimming on a beach in shark infested waters,  There is however a catch...  The EVE Beach you also have to wonder which fellow swimmer will try and eat you before the sharks.

When Eve tactics permeate into your real life self defense measures
You pepper spray an attacker - he's target jammed.
You hit him in the leg with a bat - webbed and scrambled.

If someone craps in your sandbox: 1. Light it on fire 2. Grab your shovel 3. Throw it back at them.

Sarcastic response - When you cannot remember how many prior times you've seen this thread. Was it 60, or 61?

Happened to me response - Wake up with a dire feeling that the POS is under siege. Log on, IMMEDIATELY, see that all is peaceful and quiet, and go back to sleep.

This ******* game.
