Hmmm

What part of my campaign for the CSM was a failure?
I seem to remember saying on a certain radio station that my sole purpose was to remove mittani from the chairmanship of the CSM.

Last I checked, that is what happened.

So, you slipped him his umpteenth shot? Or did you ask the question about [name redacted], the mackinaw pilot?

The great thing about Alex, is that he convinces himself that his goals are exclusive to him and his goons when in fact many times his goals and my own run parallel. The difference is the means, not the end itself.
How did I do it?
I can give you a gross oversimplification.

Subtlety, Influence.

Sometimes, all people need is that little push in the right direction. His ego shields him from doubt. So even in posting this and explicitly indicating that he is my pawn, nothing will change.

I always found that to be one of the major things that interested me about psychology. If you can build up a persons already existing defense mechanism, you can reach a point where that gets so over the top that it obfuscates reality. He will continues to truly believe that I am a troll/moron/pubbie/etc. He will continue to deny any remote possibility that he is being manipulated directly or indirectly by me.

I gotta give credit where it is due...

Most of the techniques I use in eve I learned from extensive study of cults like scientology. Nobody can twist and distort perception like they can. Evil SOBs sure, but exceptionally gifted when it comes to influencing and controlling with the slightest of effort.

edit: They LITERALLY have controlling people down to a science. Shame they use it to milk people though.

I am familiar with logical fallacy. If you want to get REALLY technical...

At one point EVERYTHING was ONE THING, which then exploded out to many other things. So everything is TECHNICALLY connected and everything that happens does have a however small CAUSAL link.

So your argument really holds no water when you take into account the fact that out entire world is interconnected with it'self in ways we lack the capacity to measure.

I see. So you were at Fanfest and you made him get drunk and encourage people to gank a dude until he offed himself. My god, Xenuria, your mind control powers have grown to epic proportions! Or is that just your delusions of grandeur? I can never tell which.

Daemon Ceed the concept that a Spider only weaves one web as it's primary means to an end is indeed not true. If you are unable to comprehend what is at play here then you are indeed afloat in the ocean without a paddle pinning your hopes on Poseidon exuding mercy.

I don't think you've ever been to the South. You should see how cutting a proper "Bless your Heart" can be.

The internet is a wonderful place, and the EvE-O forums mix of anonymity and identified individuals makes it doubly so.

Indeed I concur Ruby. This is the reason why I capture portraits and have print outs of the pictures of several eve characters adorning my bathroom walls to glance at while making a deposit.

Spider webs would not be very effective at catching food for the spiders if the webs themselves were not flowing with redundancy.

A master manipulator is never so arrogant and over-confident as to only spin a single thread and gamble that the prey will be ensnared by it. This is not how the world works.

The idea is to spin many webs with many threads, each time increasing your chances of success.
This isn't to say that spiders don't play the odds, they do; they just play to win.

So we can anticipate more posts about setting up an end-game that may, or may not, ever happen... Ugh

I think spinning multiple threads here will simply catch more trolls. Not spaceships.

Depositions on porcelain are often quite satisfying. The frequency that I make them does require that the bank keep my teller on call 24/7. He's such a nice, professional gentleman; I don't think I could ever trust another teller.
