Any Aussie able to assist me in finding the cost to head to fanfest??

my other half actually wants to go to participate in the SOE thing and would like to go for 2 weeks lolz ...

only problem is from what i can see to go from Australia to Iceland looks to cost $6000 for 2 economy round tickets....

anybody able to confirm an estimated total including fanfets and accommodation??

I paid about 5k in flights/accommodation and about 1k in food and spending money, from Adelaide.

For just yourself, you're looking at about $1200, that's flight, hotel, food, booze, gifts, incidentals.

If you want to save some expenses you guys can always try http://www.couchsurfing.org/ which is a nice way to travel the world. If you promise to not puke in their bathroom and come home screaming and yelling at 5am then many people might be up for hosting EVE nerds. I sure will do so again Big smile

This year I plan to bring a few pictures of cynos and bluetack them to the walls at the last airport before keflavik.
