This. It was a wake up call to action. That simple notification always cleared my head in the heat of an engagement.

I miss...

- The deep bass thump of early missile impacts.
- How new and alien everything felt, the ship designs especially.
- The old morphing ring neocom.

I miss torp explosions
I miss sounds that worked at least half of the time.
I miss being able to run several clients on a mid-ranged computer.
I miss the good old days when wrecks and cans opened in their own window.
I miss 'widescreen' mode (aka letterbox) and being able to clearly read your target information.
I m i s s t h e o l d f o n t t h a t a l l o w e d a m o r e c o m p a c t o v e r v i e w t h a n t h e c u r r e n t o n e.
I miss the old neocomm that didn't blink endlessly.
I miss the right-click menu functions of the Orca.
I miss the sense of security I had when dragging an item from one window to another that it actually went where I put it and that it didn't end up in the wrong area of the tree.
I miss setting a station container to 'unlock' and things going in to it being 'unlocked'.
I miss the items hangar being its own window...
... and undocking with only one cargo window open.
I miss the cargo window for each ship type remembering its size and location.
And lastly, I'll miss this game after tomorrow for many of the reasons listed above.

I miss the early days, the original evil empire, Curse, being part of the CFS and chasing rats down the pipe and being chased back by mOo. Lol. Getting excited about getting my first frig, (oooer missus) a Merlin after mining with my corp for days then weeks to get a MOA and losing it to a player rat on my first trip into 0.0. Also how my heart raced with that first taste of pvp and loss. Miss the period where being honorable was seen as the thing to do. Still love it though.

PS Old jump gate sound and EVE having new places to explore.

I miss null wars spilling over into empire and back. Then, EVE truly felt like a multi-layered conflict instead of the current Goons vs. Miners crap we have now.

They sneakily removed it in Dominion, and no one noticed.

Wait, I joined right after Dominion. WTF did I miss?!

I miss being able to run near max-quality effects settings (all/almost all "high" just without HDR) on a mid-range computer with good FPS.

Star Wars: the Old Republic may not be EVE. But I'll take the sound of dual blaster-pistols over "NURVV CLAOKING NAOW!!!11oneone!!" any day of the week.

In after the Boot.

Empyrean Age still holds a special place in my heart...before the missile & nano nerfs...before the empire...

I miss Eve PvP before it was Caps Online, along with Industrial and Freightor convoys before Bridges/JF Online.

THIS!!!!

Also remember foundly the time I was in my first huge fleet battle. At the time it was the biggest one in eve. I was there as a scout and had to sit there watching group after group of enemies coming to the system... and suddenly the node went poopoo... At this time I was actually in the next door system and it was getting close to bedtime so I had to ditch. All the way back to our space the nodes kept crashing right behind me and when I finally came back to our space (like 3 jumps from our home system) the entire server went to lala land.

I remember titans megasmartbombs and the time when there were like 3-4 titans in the game... I remember our bomber wing bombing the living hell out of a hostile hot drop where the main FC had at first been sceptical to us even being there, but afterwards wanted to make that bomber wing a more or less permanent counter hotdrop squad...

Oh man the walk along memorylane is kind of neat...

I miss the non-planar and co-planar polygons in the Amarr space station objects that made them twinkle like wacky golden christmas trees.
