I've been here since Trinity and I miss a lot of things.


  • Area of Effect Doomsday
  • Learning Skills
  • Stealth Bombers firing Cruise Missiles
  • POS-Oriented SOV Warfare
  • Pre-Nerf Raven

I miss the times when you could launch as many drones and you could carry. Dominix fielding literal swarms of drones.

5 Heavy Drone Thoraxes, 5 Heavy Drone Nos Myrmidon, Missile ships were awesome.

No stacking penalties with 8 heatsink Armageddons.

Moros with 50% drone damage and hitpoint bonus. - Those aren't Hobgoblins! Those are Ogre II's with the speed and ability to kill frigates in seconds.

90% webs with Kick Ass Blaster Ships. Before there was Winmatar or Amarr Victor, there was Gaylente.

The era of RR and Sniping Battleships. AOE doomsdays.

Tankable and killable Concord.

I miss that when zoomed in on a ship going boom I stayed zoomed in so I could gasp at the 'splosions.
I miss being able to see what my corp mates where flying from the corp-members menu.
I miss the Orca/ Rorqal right click menu giving direct access to the corp hangars.
I miss not freezing up at least once a day.
I miss being fleeted up and having to reboot the client I got right back into the fleet I was in. (or did I dream that one up?)

Right clicking and choosing 'look at' on a missile in flight, so you could get a missile-eye view as it sped towards your victim.
Idk, can you still do that. Been very long time since I tried....

I miss instapopping stationary frigates at gate camps with my cruise missile stealth bomber.

These days, bombers have **** torp range and in any 1v1, you are guaranteed to die, especially versus a frigate sized or cruiser sized ship.

I ******* LOVED doing that, it allowed for epic eve video camera angles.

I also miss that feature where you could mouse hover over your target and it focused camera on it.

Still have no idea why they removed that, I always used that feature. >.>
They should put it back in as a toggle.

I miss getting regular fleet battle news feeds. They are what got me into eve, after stumbling across one.

Stories of epic titan battles and alliance taking and loosing territory.

This is the kind of 'little things' i wish CCP would bring back Cry

I too miss cruise missile bombers, bubble bug in low causing people to rage thinking they got bubbled by HICs in low sec, the battle industrials taking down a vaga (pre-EmoTJ and his dram days), AOE titan doomsdays...

I also miss the little things from the "good old days".. But what I miss the most are the numerous small alliances in 0.0 as opposed to the handful of blocks we have now. And when it wasnt all about capital ships, when the players could still be innovative in their ship fittings and tactics and not be forced into cookiecutters...
