Some notes on the new UI.

As the 1.1 features thread seems to have developed into a slug fest between the conspiracy theorist’s, the for and the against the new war dec changes, I thought I would post here.

This is what I find confusing about the new UI as it stands at the moment;

Ship docked in station in hanger view not CQ view

Click the Inventory icon on the Neocom and a new window opens with the Tree displayed. I note it also displays the last selected item from the Tree, so if I say closed the window with the ‘Ship Hanger’ as last selected, it will reopen the same view and it seems to remember it even if I log out and back again.
Good I like that.

I can now double click anywhere in the hanger or on my ship and open the cargo hold and it will remember it’s position and the tree is closed.
I like that as well.

My active ship is displayed in a green (I’m colour disadvantaged so need confirmation Smile), again a like.

But, and this is where it becomes confusing, if I reverse the above and double click to open the cargo hold first, clicking (or double clicking) the Neocom button closes the cargo hold it does not open a new window.

If more than one window is open then clicking the button opens a fly-out menu with a list of the open windows on it. There is no real point to this as simply clicking the relevant window will give it focus, a better idea would be a ‘Last used window list’ so we could open just the window we needed.

Also shift clicking the button will not open a second window either, yet just about everywhere else on the Tree will open a window.

A small request, we have prices and goodness knows what else on the windows but if I open my Drone bay there is still no way of seeing which if any of my drones are damaged. Could you possibly list this in say the Details or List view, pretty please?
