Missions & Complexes

I have about 55m SP (3 mill unallocated) primarily in ship command, drones, missles , gunnery. when I last played my Golem was top of the heap but it appears much has changed ( I had to warp out of damsel in distress l3 when reinforcments showed up lol) my torps cannot even hit ships 45 km out now (swear I used to blow em up as far out as 90km before).

so I guess I need a new mission running boat. I would like solid DPS, but really I would like a strong tank to allow for forgiving plays as I relarn how to play this game. I havve heard Navy issue raven is still strong for L4 but I remember thier tanks being a bit light. I have heard of rattlesnakes being good? and This tengu ship which when I look up has abysmal stats so I dont get how it runs missions.

If people could help me out with some options and set ups for safe reasonably fast l4 mission boats it would really be great. I have a decent budget but nothing insane 1mm +/- 500m

PS have a 30m char on second account runs dominix, but I dont think I want to 2box again.

Machariel is one of the best Missions ships (if you want to make ISK aka blitz the missions to get LPs)

But it is not cheap, optimal you need a deadpsace x-type MWD and a deadspace shieldbooster.
Compared to the Mach a Tengu is cheap and can tank better, but the killspeed is not as good.

IMPORTEN: It's importen how YOU want to fly the mission. Some people want an insane capstable tank because they dont want to watch the tank/cap all the time. Some people want to brawl, some want to make ISK.

If you know what you want you can search for a Ship that matches your play style.

if you plan on flying in amarr space, the nightmare is your best choice by far. 1k+ dps with almost 50km optimal burns through missions so fast, you rarely even need to run your shield booster. for gurista and serpentis i recommend a tengu. for angels, machariel is king.

929dps, 317 tank weakest against angels, which is enough unless you mess up triggers, you can use a 4th hardener for Angels to be extra safe.

756 dps, more than enough tank with AB, cap-stable without TP for maximum easy mode. This tengu is efficient but not cheap because of CN BCUs, which can't really be dropped without compromising the fit because of CPU issues.

No sentry rig?

That Tengu fit above is totaly overtanked. I got an Tengu fitting that does ~280 HP/s and in most missions you dont even need to aktive the Shield Booster.
