hey, just returned from a long absence and fancy having a go at incursions on one of my characters.

I can fly caldari bs, marauder, bc and gallente bs, bc, and am only a couple of skills away from flying gallente hacs.

so any suggestions would be great , skills wise I am mostly geared towards shields and missile based weapons as I have used the character I plan to do this with mainly as a mission whoring carebear for the past few years and want to try something different heh.

cheers in advance people, any advice would be great

no, never had a reason to train logi stuff being on the character since it was purely mission whoreage

Best bet atm, with that skill set, would be to grab a cruise boat and fly as a sniper in shield HQ fleets. The SNI is particularly popular due to how easy it is to tank, though the navy raven will obviously apply more dps. You'd be just fine in a plain old raven or rokh though, if you prefer. There are even a few people who fly golems, if you want to give that a try.

Vanguards are getting partially un-nerfed in a bit, so we might see those make a bit of a comeback. VGs are largely run by fairly tight-knit groups, and for those you pretty much want a nightmare, machariel, or vindicator. For your average pick-up fleet, a Hyperion or Megathron, or even a navythron, would be a good starting point.

If you decide to go armor instead of shield(less popular), I would suggest springing for a navythron to start out with. It's very easy to fit for armor incursions. However, armor VG fleets often favor T3 ships, particularly legions, though a well-fit proteus would get you by. For the odd armor assault/Hq fleet, a battleship with long range weapons is the best bet by far.
