Welcome cute little newbie. Listen to everything everyone says here and then make up your mind on what you want to take on board and what you want to ignore.

Greetings! Welcome to EVE. I'm new here as well. Exciting, isn't it?

Welcome to Eve. Prepare to have half the playerbase attempt to crush your spirits. As long as you don't let them get to you, you should do fine. Best of luck.

In general, I've found the forum posters to be pleasant and informative when dealing with new players.

Welcome to EvE,

Hope you find the right corp as personally means alot in terms of having fun. Also stay away from the people known as "goons" and "test", they touch people.

People are only angry at goonswarm because goonswarm plays the game better than they do.

Well, it turns out I don't really have anything to say. I'm new to EVE Online - that is, I've been playing around for a few days with the trial and subscribed before it ended - I'm an applied physics major, and an enormous fan of everything Sci-Fi (I bet you don't see those here very often, eh?) So, here's just me saying 'hi'.

Hi.

:)

Hello Eve Online player Robin Sparrow. Whatever you do- dont let anyone talk you into training exhumers or cybernetics 5, it's a terrible, fun-less trap.

Why hello young man.

I was also an applied Physics major and once i graduated i retired to my parents basement for a life of lesure and soul crushing loneliness.

My Hobbies are EVE online and crying in the dark.

My ambitions are to create a perpetual motion machine and see a girl with no clothes on thats not behind my computer screen.

Welcome to EVE

I'd go as far to say that unless you're forced to go to 5, stop at level 4. get to try out new toys faster that way.....but there's a complicated set of core skills you should know before flying just anything. Go to your character screen and click on certificates, then certificates planner. You should aim to train up at least to basic core defense and navigation skills , and either gunnery or missiles (one or the other) before trying to move onto bigger ship classes.

You make a valid point, good Sir or Madam.

Don't listen to the Goon, mining is right as rain in this game and a very lucrative endeavor, I look forward to meeting you in space some day while you're flying your awesome asteroid eating machine. You can show me just how bad arse it truly is. Big smile
