Seriously... am I being unreasonable or are CCP just being *****

As some of you know I made a QQ thread about the waiting times on petitions-----Edit------ Well I'd just like to get a general opinion, it's been 11 days and counting, sinse the petition was meant to be forwared to a senior GM, I've made countless updates to the petition and I've also requested if they can provide me with an update on the progress of my petition, all of which have been out right ignored.

-----Edit----- I'd expect a wait time of 11 days if I lost a drake in a mission because I got DC or something.....

The thing that's really really frustrating me is that I've requested numerous times if whoever, if anyone, is looking into my petition can they please just reply with an update, let me know why it's taking this long to resolve, have you even started it yet? What place is it in the queue? What is the expected time you might get around to dealing with it? Something! ------Edit----- I'm a paying customer for 3 years I deserve the right to a------Edit-----reply.

Everyday I check my email for a reply and nothing, it's so depressing..... they may reply tomorrow, they may reply in 3 weeks, they may never reply in the hope i'll just let it go so they can save themselves a bunch of work? Who knows......

I've filed quite a few petitions sinse playing eve, all of which have been 100% dealt within a couple days at max! -----Edit----- It's just totally disrespectful.

I feel asthough I'm doing myself no good posting on here like this but if it gets closed, atleast it's been read. Which may spark one of the senior GM's to look into it.

You want to know what the worst part about the entire thing is?-----Edit-----

I'm sorry CCP I love you guys but I'm paying for eve, for an account I don't even think I should be using until the problem has been rectified, I need to hear from a senior GM asap! Reasure me that everything is ok but it's taking time going through the logs or something! As far as I see it, you've opened my petition, seen that it's a lot of work and just thrown it to the back of the pile. Tell me different....... Go ahead close this thread, but atleast have the decency and courtesy to PM me or something.

Players of eve, tell me, now do you still think I'm being unreasonable?

So you shared your account with someone, and they then stole/sold one of your chars.....

Account sharing is bad... mkay!

Typical reply from an uninformed, no I never shared accounts with anybody. Logs prove this, that's why I've been given back both the accounts, it's just the character, isk, skills and assets that need fixing.

I used to have T2 large blasters and T2 sentry drones but now I don't for some reason What?

You are being unreasonable.

You have to admit they can not trust exactly your input or the other part input, they have to go through all data and point the relevant information to decide if yes or not there's some problem and how to solve it.

You should understand that going through all that data is painful/tedious, things just don't show up that easy, that's why they must take the necessary time to do it.

Once it's done they will give you the appropriate answer. Just wait and stay polite ^^

I would check to make sure that the email address you are checking is the same one you have listed for that account.

Let the process work. If the petition is still open, then it's sitting out there in the system nagging them with its increasing age. If the petition gets closed without a satisfactory response, THEN you should get vocal. Until then, wait.

It took me 14 days to get back a rather expensive battleship that was lost to GCC bugs during Burn Jita. I didn't complain because I knew it wouldn't help.

11 days is more than acceptable for that sort of issue. 3-4 weeks would be acceptable also. I dont think you realise not only do they have to track the logs in your account and your other characters, but they have to check the logs in the person that stole your account, all the assets, where they were moved to or sold to, all the logs and assets of the person that your assets were moved to and sold to and so on and so forth until the logs show no more.


This is a stupidely painful and tedious task as someone else just mentioned. You said your other petitions were all dealth with 100% in a few days. So just relax and know that it will be sorted eventually.

This particular issue takes the longest out of any other petitions i would say.

So I just sit here and wait day after day after day in the hope i'll get a reply.... what if another week passes? 2 weeks? how long do I continue to wait with not so much as an update?

I don't know. It sounds like you know the guy if you seem to know about his other account which suggests that you 2 possibly shared account information and some point in time.

To hack you he obviously must have your password and account name, so I'm quite sure you did something to give away your account info(Whether it's account sharing or a keylogger or whatever) so you will just have to wait for an answer from them, if you are gonna ask for answers etc. it will not help at all and hell, you may annoy them enough to stop trying to get it fixed for you, or atleast that's what I'd do if someone kept spamming me with how his items are coming back.

Not mandatory.

Fishing mails of links, there are so many ways for someone to get in your own computer while you are at it and so few really limiting the risks because they think "why me?".

The real hackers work for internet/people freedom mostly and will target public domains, the random one is just doing it to mess with you. Nowadays is mostly random disturbed people/kids that have no other reason to do this but to harm you as much as possible by any means they can find.

This is one of the reasons why I have to agree with internet restrictions and mandatory public ID.

Good.

I only mention it because it's rather unusual for CCP to not send and acknowledgement via Email in a situation like this, to let you know the investigation is underway and might take awhile.

Usually the only time that doesn't happen is if they had an old email address on file or if the petition was filed under the wrong category (one that has a long que due to it being for normally non-priority issues).

Of course, there is always the possiblity of human error... especially in the time following a large release when there is a much larger backlog than normal.
