Today I started the game, patcher runs and no update. Click play and screen goes black and stays that way. About 20ish seconds in, my monitor (not the client) tells me I need to change the source resolution.

The client does run, I just can't see it while in fullscreen.

Tried to run the client in safemode - same problem

Tried repair utility - ran but no fix

Ran Dx setup - no fix

Been a couple of days since I last played but there've been no hardware/driver changes to my system since I last ran the game successfully.

The client can be seen in windowed mode and the window can be expanded to take up the whole desktop like any app window.
But - if I change my desktop resolution to match the window's res I get the same "change source resolution error"

And while running in windowed mode I noticed that several of my graphics setting had been changed - shadows, textures, etc.

I'm running a single client, on one monitor (yeah I'm wierd like that).

Patcher is v 1.32
Client is v 7.41.384443

GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 670
Driver 301.42
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1

I'm guessing that the resolution of the game reset to one that is unsupported by the monitor (the changed settings would seem to support this idea as well as the screen going black when you set your desktop at that level too). try setting the game to an appropriate resolution and then fullscreen before applying the changes.

Several days after upgrading to 301.42 Eve stopped working in full screen and over the next two weeks two other games came up with the same problem Installed Nvidia's beta driver and they work fine now.
