I fit in Camp B. I'm not so much against EVE the sandbox or even EVE the cold harsh Universe. While I don't see the need to foster cruelty and shoot people for the sake of creating their misery I also like that in EVE, if you prove to be a burden to me, I can and will remove you as a burden. Not to be cruel, simply to do it because it needs to be done. "Cold" but that's EVE. I don't feel the need to hunt people down because I have a desire to be a sadistic personality online or otherwise. To me that's just taking things too far and that's what I am seeing right now.

Nowhere they suggest it. But they go at lengths at describing hi sec players like filth to eradicate, miners as "plankton" and so on and on and on.

I can't see any way that removing high sec completely is a good idea.

New player undocks, and is toasted immediately. You wouldn't be able to leave the station guys, come on think about it for a moment. What 30k to 40k people online at one time? You couldn't spread us out enough to make it alright to leave a station. In the end we would all be fighting in rookie ships IF you stayed around that long. If high sec dropped tomorrow I'm not sure if I would all out quit the game or join Goon swarm for "better" chance of survival. Counting the number of gate camps any time you drop into low/null sec should give you enough of a clue of how bad of an idea that would be.

Give players to much freedom and they WILL kill your game. A little robot game learned that... as well as another fantasy full pvp game.

I can't even remember the last time I bumped into a gate camp, and I fly around blind in forge low sec constantly. Think the last time I saw a gate camp was syndicate, and that was easily circumvented.

This isn't about getting rid of high sec, it's about getting players who are too scared to come out of high sec out and pvping. Killing the afk miners and others who do nothing put mine and show other people that's i t ok to sit in high sec and never venture out is what they are trying to do.

And what is the purpose of this "propaganda"? Yep. You guessed it. Force people to play the way the few want.

Who's forcing you to do anything? If the propaganda is *convincing* you to do something, so what? Isn't that called "social interaction?"

Are they players shooting players?
Is it actually happening?

If both are true, it's both Real and PvP.

Because people resist this stupidity doesn't mean this minority isn't trying to force their playstyle on others. Look at all the hatred being spewed by these so-called PVPers.

Again, they are trying to force their playstyle on others. How? By bitching and whining to have hi sec activities moved to lo/null sec, by organizing events against hi sec players in an attempt to have them move out of hi sec or the game altogether, by spewing hateful mantra on the forums, by claiming that hi sec players don't actually belong in hi sec, etc, etc, etc.

Meh, just realized you may be actually thinking of a physical force in an attempt to troll. If that's the case, shame on me for falling to your bait.

... I miss the days when the industrialists/miners ("carebears") understood "Hisec is safer, not safe".

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Economic pressure to do something is not the same as forcing to do something, and I don't mean just physical force.
Quote:
force   [fawrs, fohrs] noun, verb, forced, forc·ing.
noun
4. power to influence, affect, or control; efficacious power: the force of circumstances; a force for law and order.

In EvE, the only power to influence, affect, or control you that someone else can have is the power that you give them.

As for whining about HS activities being moved to null? I haven't seen any serious suggestions that L4s be moved in at least a year, Everyone (inc most incursion runners) agreed that Incursions were broken and needed fixing so one proposal was to give them to Low to make Low worthwhile, and nobody's ever said you can't/shouldn't be able to mine in HS.

Spewing hateful mantra is a) propaganda and b) exactly what the miners are doing

Organizing events against other Players is exactly what the game is all about. All those trailers talking about war and you didn't understand that sometimes you're going to be the Austria to Napoleon's France (Napoleon Pounded Austria pretty good)?

I doubt making high sec safer would destroy the game. I doubt making high sec more dangerous would destroy the game.

The lifespan of a game does not rest on a single, solitary issue.

Tor Gungnir wrote:
It is funny how people want to remove High-Sec because they, in essence, want to be able to shoot freely at people. They also want Local removed. What's even funnier is that there are places within EVE that caters to both these needs.

High-sec is Highly Secure.

Deal with it.

There are places in EVE with no Local?

Yes, they are called Wormholes.

I won't say you are stupid, but you're not exactly on the Zombie menu either.
