I hear hornets are good enough for GTFO ability. But if my ship can field a full compliment or Vespa EC-300 or Hornets, should I go with the Hornets or Vespa EC-300 ?

Ehh, what is the drone bay size? 50m3 exactly?

I'd usually field a flight of light ECMs and a flight of light Warriors or Hobos rather than a full flight of medium ECM drones. Maaaybe not on something that deals massive turret damage anyway and has hopes and prayers for a tank.

The Hornets are EC-300, Vespas are EC-600.

I think it depends on ship size and what your dronebay can accommodate - Hornet EC-300s have a chance of jamming frigates or destroyers, but not much chance of jamming anything bigger. Vespa EC-600s have a chance of jamming cruisers or battlecruisers, and people also use them against BSs, though they have a lesser chance with them. But the EC-900 Wasps don't have as much bang for the buck relatively speaking, compared to the room they take up in a dronebay, and also they are expensive for what is basically a throwaway drone (since the most common use is for GTFO-ability).

Vespa EC-600s are generally the best bang for the buck and are very common.
