Slow FPS with Alienware M17x

I do not think that lap top video card has any dedicated video memory. It uses ram and swaps video memory into ram.
Much slower process. There might be a way to optimize this use. EVE also has a good size ram footprint. Try using medium or low graphics settings to increase speed to solve some of these issues or maybe invest in more ram.

See the problem is most likely to do with this "configuration" you seem so proud of.

Congrats, you just got scammed into buying a $3000 laptop that has half the processing power of a $1200 desktop.

However you can go into the bios as laptop boots up and enable your card, might help. Once its enabled in there you can control it from Nvidia Control Panel.

Oh and btw, I used to own the old m17x. It never used to run eve longer than an hour due to the excessive heat. That was with 2 clients running.
