Almost in a drake, day tripping WH's next... Need some friendly advice!

So I have been slowly getting my ass into the prereqs for a drake. I have all of the missile skills to 3, working on getting my shield skills up after engi hits 4. I know most will tell me that I -need- level 5 support skills and the like, but most of what I have heard from people I know say that while the drake itself is a fairly forgiving ship, I was wanting a few more opinions from those I don't know.

I plan on trying out day tripping once I get my shield skills up to par in a c1 maybe c2. As such I have read and been told that day tripping into WH's is essentially -requires- you having 2 account which I only have 1, this not going to change because people tell me I need 2.

Is there a way to fit a drake so that it can solo the sites and fit a salvager/cloak without hampering its killing ability too much? Also does it -require- the tech 2 fittings in order to do what I need to do or can I run the meta 4 variants and still come out clean?

Thanks in advance!

You -require- two accounts so that one of them can watch the door to see us coming.

If you are insistent on going in alone, and with only one account, I really really hope you do it somewhere where we can find you. Twisted

O.o well I was hoping the first post would be helpful... Suppose life can't be sunshine and licking icing. That why I was wanting advice on drake fitting a cloak ;)

Thing it, it was perfectly legitimate advice. As you are now, you are not well suited for wormholes.

Also, Drake fitting a cloak is a horrible idea. Are you aware of the drawbacks for a cloaking module?

Like the part where you can't cloak if something is targeting you? Or the part where it increases lock time?

I love those parts.

Go back and read what you wrote, Bernie, and then lay off the weed. P

Very much so.... I make a habit of finding inhabited wormholes and cloaking up in my anathema either 100km from their POS or 10km off the k162 saying such things as RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE into local. Not only is it funny wheni do elicit reactions... But the tears of "Get out, you have been here 3 days and won't shut up in local" or other variant to be very delicious indeed! More delicious the ransoming miner in lowsec >: D

Sounds like you are well-prepared for activity in wormhole space. Forget I said anything.

Being a rabble rousing part time pirate aside, I just have an unhealthy obsession with WH in general.... I suppose I just want to see what it's like to be on the other end of the rabble rousing for a change :/

Don't forget your anchorable cans! Leave them scattered about, maybe write a poem on them.

The anathema doesn't have the room for anchorable cans :( if I was rabble rousing enough I might do a stealth subsystem t3 with t2 cargo expanders... But since I'm poor and can't use t3's yet that will have to wait...

Wait I forgot about blockade runners... 20ish days to train though :(

Hey.... I said I was rabble rousing! If I had the money, I am very sure that would rabble a few people when they killed me ;p

Congrats, you've successfully trolled wormhole residents without even being in their wormhole.

OP, you sound like a lot of fun. Good luck in there.

I look forward to your attempt to slowboat away from our bubble in your cloaked brick based on the off-chance you aren't targeted when you try to activate it. Blink

On a side note, I think you will want the T2 tank for C2's, and may still need to warp out at times. Throw a salvager on it and salvage as you go. Not sure you want to lose the dps to add a tractor. Still gonna be slow going either way. Key will be to make more iskies than you lose when you get popped (and you will) in what is becoming a more and more expensive hull. Some folks may shy away from engaging a "bait" drake and buy the ship some extra lifespan, but the competent corps will jump in headfirst...

EDIT: Just a quick trip into EFT. You are gonna die but it won't be from the sleepers. Blink

If you intend to train for transport ships to "rumble rumble" Big smile with cans, make sure you train for the minmatar transport (prowler i think), for it is the only blockade runner with 2 high slots (cloak + probes). It's the path of the pro Rumbler! o7

And exactly why is the fit bad? No probe launcher the issue? I am assuming he has already scanned his **** down and made the appropriate bm's... It isn't a "let's hang out in w-space all day" fit, if the hole gets rolled he is obviously screwed.

Edit: This more to your liking? Come back and salvage later? Roll
