Most Logitech mice have horrendous angle snapping, especially the MX518. Thankfully you can disable it on the G500 though.

Thankfully you don't have to install Logitech custom mouse software to use the mouse, and when you do you don't need to leave straight-line correction switched on.

The Mx518, Mx510 and G300 are my favourites.

Trouser.

I have my naga epic, I like it quite a bit. I used to have the G5, and before that the microsoft intellimouse. I've been mouse-spoiled.

(don't dis the intellimouse, theres a huge outcry for them to rerelease it, it was perfect for shooters)

Hello, hello again.

Cyborg R.A.T 7, is the only way to go.. Fully customizable. you can take the mouse apart and build it to the specifics of the size of your hand, you can customize the pinky finger rest, thumb rest, palm rest (it slides back and forth depending on the size of your hand), adjust the weight of the mouse, awesome DPI adjustment for those precision shots! Theres a button at the side where you rest your thumb that you press and it lowers the DPI to whatever you have it set as, i use it for sniping in games. Im sure that is probably standard in most gaming mice though.

You get 3 different grips with it also!

Probably the best peripheral purchase i have made in a long time! Comes with a 2 year warrenty also.

I bought a Razer Mamba not so long ago. It was very expensive (bought it for TF2 mostly) and great, when it worked. Unfortunately it had a habit of just freezing up every so often, requiring cycling the USB (unplug, plug back in). As you can imagine this is not ideal in many gaming situations.

The moral of the story is NEVER buy a Razer mouse as they're a load of ****.

i've used a lot of mice in the past (microsoft and logitech mostly), but nothing even comes close to the one i've used for the last few years:

razer deathadder

i highly recommend it.

I lost faith in the razer brand totally, i had a Razer Lachesis then a Mamba, Lachesis was ok but it was nothing special, the mamba was just bad though.

But i guess its down to the persons tastes and feel. I was using a normal mouse the other day for gaming cause i wasnt at home and it just felt horrible... i felt like some sort of commoner and longed for the touch of my R.A.T 7!

Razer Lachesis. had it for a few years and it's pretty darn good.

Still using my old trusted logitech mx-500, the long time predecessor of the g5-series. Before that I used IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0, which, despite being extremely outdated technology-wise, has such a superb design that it is still selling quite well.

Cyborg R.A.T. 5 here. Best mouse I've ever used. It looks like a monstrosity, but is actually really customizable to be ergonomic and feel great for you, and it has very cool features and is very responsive (I enjoy high sensitivity mice).

You really can't go wrong with any of these mice:

MX518
G400

If you like tweaking weight:
G5 / G5 2007 issue (It has two thumb buttons instead of just one. The perfect mouse imho.)
G500 (Newer model)

Same but wireless:

G700 / G7

Personally I am using a MX518 with a weight added from a MX510, the MX518 was too light for my tastes. Roll
