lol, I can picture the inventors selling Caldari high command on this design now

Engineer: "so, we had to remove some functionality to make room for the cloak but..."
Caldari gov: "wait, what did you remove?"
Engineer: "er... shield repair systems... it still has some... just not as much"
Caldari gov: "but it can use them and it's cloak, right?"
Engineer: "er... not exactly, but if it doesn't want to rep any shields then it can cloak as much as it wants, it just can't cloak and rep"
Caldari gov: "so what you're saying is that when it's there it's like a worse basilisk but when it's cloaked it's like it's not even there"

Give it another high. It won't have any additional capacitor or grid to run or fit more shield reps.

I'm still not convinced that a better chance of winning the prize next year is a sufficiently good prize for this year. Imagine, if you will, a lottery where tickets cost $100 and the grand prize was claimed to be a "mystery prize valued at $10,000". You buy your tickets and you win and claim the mystery prize and it turns out it's a hundred free tickets to the same lottery. That's basically what this is. Somewhere along the line you want something with some actual value, in this case something that people will look at and think "omg that'd be awesome to fly I'm gonna buy a hundred plex with my credit card and sell them and buy it". The Etana is not that.

You know, if your that disappointed with the prize, you can always drop out of the tournament, and commit your clearly valuable time to something more important.
