Just returning to the game after an extended vacation. I am looking to get back into mission running to start building up my standings again. nothing crazy mainly L1's. I currently have a Thorax and an Incursus that I could set up for running missions.

I was hoping to get a little advice as to which ship to use and some load outs that I could build off of.

Thanks so much! Lol

Use this as a template and replace with named or T2 when you can. If you can't afford the rigs just leave them be, they help with cap recharge and make life easier but it's not needed as such.

Looks like a great starting point. Helps clear up a few things I wasn't sure about.

Thanks so much!

To be honest, you're probably better off in a vexor for mission running, if you have any drone skills at all.

The problem with slavery is that only half of the manacles are visible. The Holder, supposed master, is equally bound by the gilded chains of privilege and wealth.

I do have a fair amount of drone skills. It'd take me 2 days of training to really get the ones I'd want for a Vexor...

It does look appealing to have a few more drones at my disposal. Especially because I think my ultimate goal is to get into a Domi or something for higher level missions.

Do you have a good loadout to recommend?

This is a very though little ship, once you have at least T2 med drones, drone interfacing 4, you can clean everything with except lvl 4's until you can fully T2 fit and even then some are simply impossible but I haven't tried after those new drone mods implementation and my much better shield fittings than back in time when I was using it.

Thorax is a really awesome ship for pvp but for pve is a real pain in the arse and inefficient unless you have top skills. Some people might well do it but in my personal experience I've abandoned Thorax for Brutix ASAP and the difference in between tank/dps is just really big.

PvP was the original reason I got into a Thorax but I later decided I should spend more time skilling up before venturing into PVP with it. I have been doing some research this morning into the Vexor and I am starting to think it would be a good investment shifting over to it. I am about 3-5days training from the skills I think i'd want. I am capable of using T2 med drones and a few days away from Drone Interfacing 4.

My main concern is as I am just returning to the game I do not have a solid ISK stream yet. I was nervous about investing into a new ship without an already established income.

But I am starting to think that it is well worth the investment to save me some time in missions.

Thanks for your input I really appreciate the insight.

Then don't look back and jump in to that Vexor, it's a very wise isk investment and if you are on the road of missioning to make some isk because you have none left I can help you with that. Add lin to your list and send a mail, I'll offer you the necessary amount to buy a Navy hull version at Jita best price.

Welcome home Lol

Glad to be home.
I'll be jumping into the Vexor this evening I hope. Pretty sure I have my fitting all lined up. Or at least a few options I am going to play with.

Vexor for level 2s > Myrmidon for level 3s > Domi-kind for level 4s

For the vexor you only need to use light scout drones and occasionally med scout drones for the odd cruiser in level 2s.

For the Myrm you will be using a flight of medium scout drones regularly, and may at times be using 3 sentry drones.

For the Domi you will be using sentry drones regularly.

As with any weapon system you get very noticeable performance gains with tech II.

The thorax, brutix, hype or mega progression is less favorable for pve. It is doable I suppose if you really hate the drone interface and love guns. But if not then do your self a favor and get into drone training and leve gunnery secondary.
