Damn Floppie, I was about to compliment your post for putting up my favourite T3 for C3 farming..

Then you went and mentioned the Shmengu What?

It's just so bloody versatile. Also, i had the Tengu in hangar when I lost the legion. FWIW, I don't fly caldari anything in PVP. Proteus and neut Legion, baby.

I'd like to add that the Legion is actually quicker at farming C3 anoms than the Tengu Blink

Meh. I tend to avoid C3s as they're far more populated than I like.

As long as you can put out a fair amount of DPS and have a nice buffer (for fleets) or large self repair and a cap booster (for small gang/solo work) any general PvE ship should be just fine. Similarly any ship that is good at PvP outside a wormhole can reasonably be assumed to still work inside.

As with most things, a lot of the usability comes from knowing how to properly fit your ship.

Proteus is my PvP workhorse. ****** tanks like a boss, hits at the upper end of the cruiser spectrum, and I've been quite pleased to see it shut down warp drives on stabbed ships.

Also own but haven't put into use several other gallente hulls - have a navy mega (which I did get to use recently for a home system resource protection action..aka killed a ratting navi domi eatin' mah sites!) and an astarte and nemesis. I have a hyperion collecting dust because CCP released that hull pre-nerfed and never fixed the damn thing. Hole-crushing domi because domi hole-crushing.

PvE side, I just use a tengu, like everyone else. It works well. Gallente hulls can be set up to run PvE but...meh.

First thing to do is find out what ships and tank your new corp uses. With the right fleet setup blaster boats are good in pve and excellent for pvp.

Don't confuse best with efficiency, like a lot of people seem to do.
