And how do you like when you need to move stuff in the tree. You highlight what you want, move it over to the tree, and if you keep it here for two seconds, the stupid inventory area you were looking at changes to where you are dropping the items. How ignorant is that? So now you have to re-click to go BACK to where you were so you can move another group of stuff to another place. F'ing ignorant.

So true. What sense does that make??

Worse than that though, is when you open a container that you can't actually open - such as locked cans in RADAR sites. Instead of doing nothing, which it should since you can't access the container, your own inventory opens up for some reason. Very annoying.

This i would agree needs an error message if it doesn't already, but as I recall in the old system the error would pop up and an empty can would open anyway. So it's not that much different hehe

If you assume that all wrecks and cans open from the inventory window you could just set it up for that just liek how the old system would pop open wrecks and cans in the same spot every time.

IMHO these UI fixes are probaly putting REAL fixes to other things in the game which were actually broken on a terrible hold

So... why not use the window that is already open?

Usually the already open window is in the wrong place, has the wrong size and does not nave the tree view. Happens all the time to me, since now the windows recall their state on dock, you will easily have the items window open.
One would believe that pressing the neocom icon would open another "full featured" window in the center of the screen but what happens is that the item window disappears instead. So you have to make it reappear, then de-customize it and then re-open everything again.

^^ This.

This is exactly why the UI is still a PITA to use. I mean, it's great that it remembers. Now if only it could remember why it remembered the last position. We wouldn't need to make the fact that it remembers completely pointless by having to recustomize it for the next task. That it remembers it's last position is absolutely useless since every cargohold, every inventory will open the UI to that last position. So, if it's customized for a specific task, you usually have to recustomize it for the next.

They made it more cumbersome to deal with. I tested the new inventory on sis, didn't really like it but didn't complain because I figured I'd adapt to it (which I did).

Now I adapted to it and CCP screwed it up again Roll...

Yep, screwed a feature working (old inventory) to something working one day and not working the day after etc. You should ask some help to Baltec, he's the pro of that stuff, I'm sure he will be glad to provide you (and all of us) enlightenment.

Yep that's what it's all about, get in the light Lol

So baically what you're saying here is that we need to do it YOUR way just like CCP is trying to make us do it THEIR way.

It's great how you prove my point that this system is moronic and stupid. Ignorance is the key here and CCP is full of it.

What is great about this, and any other game, is that I can put this account down for a month and train up something, come back later and check and see if they fixed their F'UPS, and if I don't like it, train something else.

Planetside 2 is on the horizon as well as many, many other time consumers out there.

with the current Inventory system, i can see a lot of people not using multiple accounts any more, it doesnt really work well with multiple clients open on the same machine, particulary if you have the game running in a 'window' .. so i am kind of wondering how many miners have stopped for the moment, until the game interface works again, or maybe they've given up entirely, not that miners are the only ones affected by this 'new' inventory system, as has already been demonstrated, industrialists etc, in general are affected to a greater or lesser degree.. im guessing that many are like me, and have put those kinds of activities on hold until such time as that kind of activity is less of a strain on the games interface, certainly there is little point to continuing to do so at present.. so for the moment mission running in high sec rather than mining in null.. seems to be the only option. although looting wrecks has become such a PITA, that now i just salvage.. if i can be bothered to even do that much..Roll

Bro, you hit the nail on the head with this. That is my biggest frustration with it. Freakin hate the new system.

I have to admit I'm curious as to why people that claim to work with inventory a lot don't already have the ships and items hangers merged with the station services.

You open them with a click on a tab, which apparently is vastly superior to a tree Big smile, so it would seem like a no brainer... unless you really aren't very efficient in how you handle inventory accessability to begin with.
