I'm still in the process of moving all my junk closer to the front lines but I'm planning on jumping in and losing some ships pretty soon. My pvp experience is still quite low although I've done a few fleet roams in null sec before. So my question is, what should I be trying to accomplish (other than getting kills of course)? I'll be pretty much solo unless I find a friendly fleet to help/leech kills from.

Are there plexes I can solo? Should I be doing missions? Thanks.

You want to make sure you can keep affording to replace ships, but find people you like to fly with and fly with them. You can always plex/mission and buy/move ships when nothing is going on.

Get into some jump clones and position them around. Don't bother moving all your crap to the warzone; just move the necessary ships and support gear. Having the JCs helps when you get bored of no activity, avoiding blobs, and such. Also help with the massive gap between Minnie space and Amarr space if you want to run missions. Started up a mission a couple days ago for Minnie FW, and the mission was 31 jumps out.

Don't bother moving stuff. If you want to earn some LP solo as a noob then the easiest way is to go for missions. Harvest a bunch of FW missions from the various FW station agents, preferably level 1 missions for beginning. Then get into a Nano-Long-Range (=Beams) Frigate or Destroyer and do the missions. FW missions are very short if you do it right. Read the text carefully usually you just need to kill 1 to 3 targets to solve the mission. This takes no longer than a minute (without flight time to the system).
