What is a corp hanger, and why can't anyone scan it?

The Orca has a standard cargo hold, a Corp Hangar Bay, a Ship Maint Bay and an Ore Hold.

Only the standard cargo hold can be scanned by a cargo-scanning mod. Contents of the other three are simply not remotely visible using any type of scanning module.

The Corp Hangar Bay holds 40k m3. Ship Maint Bay is 400k m3 and only accepts assembled hulls.

My orca already took more than 20B in out of Jita, no insurance and afk 15 jumps away.

Your problem is the amount when the tool is the key.

The OP is talking about a freighter, not an orca. Small difference there you know...
Getting an alt in an orca efficiently, takes a lot more time than getting it into a freighter.

An orca can hauler a lot less, but can get a lot more tank, and has the hidden hanger.

Doing trade routes in an orca isn't efficient at all if you need to get more than 40K m3 of high value items. Especially afk.
Not everything is plex size.
Go take a few T2 ships from one place to another in an orca and tell me how it goes.

If you took 20B of items in an orca and put them in your cargo hold, and didn't get blown up, you super lucky.

-Try and make insta undock BM out of the major trade stations.
-If you can have a alt(in the same corp) follow you and web you to speed up alignment. Granted this may take some time to get it right.
-Implants can help a bit, also train nav skills or anything that will improve alignment time.
-If possible train for an orca. This will allow you to do low volume high value trading in somewhat safety.

As far as value goes, it depends on what you are hauling. If you are hauling for example 5b worth of mins(non tech) most wont bother, but 5b worth of faction mods and they will be on you like bees on honey. So really its a personal judgement call as well as dependent on what you plan on doing.
