Just Posting my idea for a new slasher. Is it any good?

Right now I'm just throwing out this to see what ccp thinks. since there doing the frig re-balances I might as well see if I can get an idea in there, and to see what other members of eve think.

I was just thinking on interceptors and wondered if this would be a good slasher upgrade
Slasher with 3 highs, 4 mediums, and 3 low. For bonus I was thinking keep the tracking speed of 7.5%, but replace the damage with a speed, sig, or agility bonus. ( or possible a combination of both)

I think an interceptor needs the extra mid so you can dual prop, or for other things (like a tracking disruptor for solo). An afterburner doesn't have enough speed, and a micro warp drive gets scrambled to easily leaving the interceptor dead in the water for getting to close to do his job. Of course the speed bonus is to got faster, but If your going fast a better turn rate might be viewed as more valuable letting you do orbits at higher speeds, and sharper turns. Hmm maybe a afterburner/micro warp drive agility bonus would be another possibility. As for sig that will help with missiles.

maybe another bonus that would be a specific bonus would be to give the interceptor the ability to not have a scram take out its micro warp drive so you don't see as many dual props, and then combine that with a bonus that decrease micro warp drive sig radius. Smaller then tech 2, but still there. This combination may make it so dual propping is no longer be as necessary, though if you did this It would need a decent cap to counter out the micro warp drive drain, and the tracking speed bonus so it can hit other ships. the bright side is that without dual propping and interceptor would have not as great of need of the 4th mid.

One quick mod I think would be handy is something for decreasing sig. Maybe it should do something negative to your shields?

So far yet I liked how the first set of ships turned out (other then the ammar got 2), and am glad to see that the community could help.

No, it needs the damage bonus IMO. Chances are it'll get a speed bonus. Not sure it'll get 7 slots, it'll probably wind up with 6.

I'm pretty sure that the decision to give all T1 Inty hulls 2 mids so they can't fit scram+web+prop was a design choice, so that they're inherently weaker than the Intys.

I am glad of your feed back. I just wish it was a little more useful to helping my idea, or you suggesting a slasher fit of your own.

If it's a 9 slot config then i would make it 3 hi 4 mid 2 low do to the fact the the mids are almost necessary on an interceptor. As for you comment mxzf if they only left 2 mids that then they would effectively ruin the ship balance they plan to do. Not saying they weather or not they would do it (ccp has done some pretty stupid things in the past), but by doing that it would not let the ship do it's job. remember tech 2 ships have the advantage of extra resits, bonus, raw hp, more slots to fit stuff, and for the interceptors Superior speed.

even the less slot's idea between tech 1 ships kinda ruins the balance they were planing unless they make up for it in bonuses (ex more bonus for the less slots). Do to the fact that all ships are supposed to be on a level playing now.

I can see your point about the damage bonus linna, and although i disagree (it mostly being a matter of opinion) this is the kind of feedback I am looking for thanks for posting it.
