Not in the mood to EFT warrior it, but doesn't a hulk have some midslots it could use to fit a moderate shield buffer without sacrificing the lowslot MLUs?

BTW I watch netflix while running level 4 missions while making WAY more ISK per hour then any of your theoretical afk miners..

I hear lvl 4 missions will be the next thing to be nerfed.

If you read over alot of the threads, people claim that its impossible to pay attention to mining, or that they only mine because that way they can play while doing homework/watch netflix/play with the kids. I have seen all 3 of those exact statements in the past, and only in a few threads(like this one) do people consistently claim otherwise.

On the other hand, some do claim to do it only atk, while drinking and hanging out with their buddies on comms, which is the right way to do it, and should keep you alive(if you fit enough tank that you can't miss the gank fleet coming for you)

I read many threads and in many of those threads are people proclaiming they aren't afk when mining. AFK is Away From Keyboard. If you're watching netflix while mining you're not AFK. Just like when I watch netflix while running lvl 4s I'm not AFK. Doing homework does not equal AFK either. When I'm doing my online course on screen two while mining on screen one I am NOT AFK.

Exhumers fill their cargo usually in two cycles which means if you're playing with jimmy you either have to leave him every 300-360 seconds or you're wasting resources and time. So that means you're getting NOWHERE near the maximum isk per hour that everyone claims you're making.

Botters are an entirely separate problem and I believe CCP should be dealing harshly with those who do so. Whether they are in nullsec or highsec it doesn't matter to me.

That wouldn't surprise me because god knows we cannot allow people in small time corps or solo to make a decent living in game.

A) Chatting, thats part of the game, so you are paying attention.

B) If you are in space and not watching at the very least your overview, you should die.(In nullsec extend this to local and intel channels). Docked up, who cares if you are afk, as long as you don't run a market bot.

C) Distracted is one thing, not paying attention is another. If you are capable of noticing someone warping in on your overview, you are paying attention, if you failed to notice someone warping in, then you should die.

PS. Little tip, make sure all players, even those with neutral or no standing, have colors assigned to them on your overview. That way you don't die because you failed to notice your overview got one line longer, you will instead notice that solid yellow/orange/red/whatever color you like bar appear and warp out before he finishes landing from warp. You did realize you can see people on your overview several seconds before they can even begin locking, right?

I personally don't care what either side thinks. However it's apparent that there's a very strong surge of hate against a certain community within EvE that in general I do not consider healthy for EvE as a game. Now miners are responding with counter-hate threads. Soon we'll all be cursing and swearing at each other because of...real hate over a fake video game.

We will all start to look ridiculous to outsiders who just started the game or were looking at the forums to decide whether or not to give it a try.

In all honesty Goonswarm, gank away. However, at least tell people it's for your Tech profits and not to "RID THE WORLD OF OF THE HEATHEN AFK MINERS" "HATE THEM" "BLAME THEM" "PERSECUTE THEM" "KILL THEM"

Why don't we rid the world of AFK mission runners and 0.01 ISK bots and jump freighters (yes there are bots that YOU NULL BEARS USE FOR JUMP FREIGHTING, MOON GOO AND EVEN YOU INTEL CHANNELS/AFK Cloakers). We don't rid the world of them because the EFFECT of their destruction does not generate a mathematically stable source of Tech income. This proves you are only ganking Hulks for Tech and not for this new religious movement of purging EvE of afk income earners.

However, you're overtly creating hatred in a manner which shouldn't be tolerated in any video GAME (or REAL LIFE) no matter what the game is supposed to be about.

Go ahead and gank the miners to oblivion, but don't become hate merchants at the same time. I am ashamed that CCP has let you guys go that far.

This level of hate is bad for the community and should not be tolerated.


I'm not going to place blame on the miners for this hate-fest because you guys are the ones that zealously promoted the hate to begin with.
