They will do that without the posting. The posting just feeds the gankers egos.

Concord does not act like real life Police. Real life Law Enforcement Agencies do 'Protective Custody', 'Stake Outs', 'Check Points', 'Manhunts', etc. If someone goes on a 'Murder Spree', the first couple of attacks may be successful, but then an 'All Points Bulletin' is issued provoking a lot more action by Law Enforcement Agencies. That makes the criminal's actions and movements vastly hampered resulting in said criminal being captured or killed.
So much like CONCORD an the navies, then.

Quote:
Don't use the 'Notepad' to vent your anger, file a report with 'Customer Service' and let them know exactly what you think. That's their job and if enough players do it, CCP will definitely investigate the issue.
No. Use notepad to vent the anger, and then write a petition if you still think that anything has been done incorrectly. Don't clog up the queue by complaining about legitimate gameplay.

Quote:
In the past, the Hulkageddon gank contest has always been short term and the duration wasn't long enough to garner much attention by CCP.
…aside from them monitoring the effects they had on the game quite closely to see what they did to the sandbox. As it turned out, it was mainly good things.

Then again, I think the OP maybe on to something. One only has to note the lack of lots and lots of troll posts.
Really, he gets it.

You mean the one showing an increase in players since the patch, and showing a recovery from the D3 release week?

DeMichael Crimson,
Looks like you have some different ideas about how people could deal with this situation. But I don't mind, this is now a chill thread so I will address your concerns in a chill'n way.

Point 1
The reason being that rage posts are a troll's favourite food. The best way to tell CCP about something is by telling them directly. This way you get your idea across without any people trying to cut you down. If CCP is getting mass mail about the same issue they will see there is a problem. Contacting CCP instead of forum posting will not reduce CCP's attention to an issue. CCP are a nice bunch and they do listen in my experiences with them. Less public hate threads also gives forum mods a break from deleting spam/troll posts. However if you wish to discuss something with the community and not directly CCP, the forums is the best place.

The part about CCP laughing, that was at the fact that people are complaining that CONCORD doesn't save them. The game is working as it should, ganking is not an exploit as some believe it is. But yes, they won't laugh at reduced income.

Point 2
Perhaps I should have worded it a bit better. CONCORD are not a replica of real life police as you pointed. I should have said that they work the same in the way that both can't always save you when you call for help. The example provided was not meant to be serious as indicated by the wink smilie at the end. However broom vs. gun is basically what it will be like, yes you can't win with a broom (or a solo hulk with a little tank) against a dedicated ganker... but at least you tried to delay your death. In some cases, a ganker might arrive looking for an easy kill... but upon seeing your fit may have second thought about if they can do it before CONCORD arrives.

Saying "don't mine" is like hiding in a shop when a bad man is in town. Mining must continue through thick and thin.

Point 3
Agreed mostly. When I said "can't handle defending yourself" it was to imply they were quitting out of anger. In which case it's a bad idea to start venting it in the forums. If you can make a post and be cool about it, I'm sure many will be happy to read those posts.

Regarding Notepad... As Tippia said, writing it all out in notepad will get your anger out. I know for a fact that if I'm angry about something it's good to wait a little bit. When you mind clears some more you may see it's not such a big issue as you thought it was. You can handle the situation much better and can word posts/emails in a more respectful way.

Point 4
As you said, deny them of the verbal tears and mark them as a terrible standing. I do not advise hiding away and as I said earlier, mining has to continue even through the hard times.

Hopefully I've covered most your points. I probably could have expanded and worded stuff a bit better. I know you may not agree with my views... but hey thats what makes every human different. Smile

Also I highly doubt CCP is laughing about it. Especially if it continues causing more players to unsub and or lowers the amount of active players in-game.

If only there was some sort of graph to show how many players are online every day. You could link it to prove how the population and number of people online is dropping compared to last year, last month, the last 3 months etc.

Some people don't know when they are beaten, they just keep blindly marching on spouting their flawed rhetoric time and again, proving how little they understand even the simplest of things.

EDIT: Also feeling pretty chilled tonight. Hit 250 likes, had some great discussions and decided upon applying for a CCL position. A great day all in all Cool
