Hi to all. I would like ask for some help when it comes to the ishtar and a fit for complex running.
My corp is moving to the south 0.0 space so as far as i know (please correct me if i am wrong) those areas have drone complex. I am willing to use that ship but i really have no experience with complex so far. So if someone can help me with a fit and what ded i can complete i would be more than thankfull . Also inferno brough the drone modules so is that made that ship better or it is better to use something else (i am not using strategic cruiser cause i dont have experience with DED so aiming a cheaper choice for the start)

What region are you going to live in?
Without this knowledge no one can help you because it all depends on the faction inhabiting this specific region.

Nullsec would have sites between DED 6/10 to 10/10

It is angel rats. So ishtar doesnt seem a wise choice due to the lowest resistances be there ? What would be an alternative solution for a first ship to get experienced ?

considering angel resists and dps profile, i'd recommend CNR or a shield tanked projectile platform.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Astald can you suggest a fit ? or i could make it if i know the number required for defence and dps needed, passive or active (dont have a clue if neut exists) . I assume the max ded you can solo is a 8/10 as 10/10 is 2 much to be soloed. Thanks all for the replies

You may find that the 10/10 is easier than the 8/10. I find that's correct for the sansha though. Maybe not with Drone regions.

Ishtar is better passive tanked for sure, T2 purgers lows full of shield power relays and your away.

As an alternative to the Ishtar, the Gila also works well as a drone-based exploring cruiser platform. It has more Exp resist (5%/level of Cal Cruiser), more raw shield, more base CPU, another rig slot, more drone space, and trades a low for a mid. It's not better at everything, but I've found it seems better in Angel space than the Ishtar is.

Will this work till 10/10 ? The stats i am gaving is 774 defence for angels , 546 m/s on 231m signature , i have cap for 39m (i need that fuel cons .. lvl5 to take it stable) and dps is 489 with ogres. Is it a overkill for defence . Can i lose a low to a drone damage mod ? it will go 588 defence but 578 offence

That's a pretty decent fit to begin with, but it can be better with a bit of tweaking.

First off, C-Type Exp resist amps are only about 10M, probably worthwhile for the price. Also, if at all possible, trading the EM resist amp for an Invul will help a lot with Angels. Trading the SPRs for meta-4 will safe CPU without compromising the tank at all (the rest of the stats are the same as T2).

And trading a SPR for either a DC to or a T2 DDA will help your EHP/DPS respectively and give you more cap stability, at the cost of tank. How much you're willing to trade will depend on how comfortable you feel running the sites.

I doubt it'll solo the 10/10 either way, but it should be decent for many sites I'd think.

Now as far as escalations are concerned, you can get a 5/10 from certain anoms in 0.0.
