Thank You! Why is it that the non Fed pilots feel the need to get upset over things that we do on our own away from them? I saw something planet side that was a little much, even for me, but it's within their rights to do... er... that... because they did not force me.

Hurts nobody but them.... but god did it hurt them...

Given the interest in holding a male beauty contest, and with the help of Monsieur Andreus Ixiris and Madmoiselle Kalaratiri we will also be holding the Mister Federation contest this year.

The winner will receive a Federation Navy Vexor thanks to the sponsorship of a fellow QCATS member, X Gallentius.

The initial GalNet message will be update with this new event.

As for starting time, as Madmoiselle Sohni Lafunga asks, the current tentative schedule signals the firework show at around 21:00hrs eve time in Dodixie and then the announcement of the winners of Miss Federation and Mister Federation.

However the final schedule is not confirmed yet, as i still lack proposals for the fireworks show.

Finally, Mixed Metaphor will be providing live music to our evening using a broadcasted capsuleer radio to comment on the events.

If you have any special requests, send your inquiries directly to Andreus Ixiris and ask for the latest audioreel.

Hope to see you all around Dodixie on June 16th.

+1. Well said. My vote for sexiest female goes to Aelisha.

You seem to be under the impression I am making these observations as a continuing participant in your decaying nation. In fact your Provist allusions are off the mark but more accurate, as I have been a State citizen via Sukuuvesta sponsorship for the last five years and an Outer region capsuleer before that.

Defend sexist debauches and compensatory machismo all you like, this is a shameful display of how far the Federation has fallen. I may have washed my hands of such hypocrisy soaked 'freedom', but contrary to popular belief, criticism of the depraved, disrespectful and the wasteful is a right that is practiced and cherished in the State.

Feel free to continue waving your true colours if it makes you feel better, but most of us knew that your 'civil liberties' only work when they laud the mess you live in already. By all means, broadcast this 'guns, **** and twits' image to every corner of the cluster - there are some shaky Fed patriots who retain the values of discipline and self-respect and could do with the push into more respectable nations.

I would be interesting in judging a competition of it's like with some fine male flesh, given some people are forced to attend.

Wouldn't forcing someone to attend be rather counter to the ideals of liberty and freedom that this day is supposed to honor?

I suppose, though the comment was meant more in jest.

Glad something so joyous and happy can become something so serious.

I've never celebrated Federation Day, so you'll forgive me for not understanding everything pertaining to it I hope.

My question was not meant as instigation or insult, merely inquiry.

Monsieur Khross

Federation day might have multiple meanings to different people, depending on the side of the story they wish to focus.

For me in particular, represents a day where space-faring civilizations agreed to join efforts and be part of a larger concept, aiming for higher ideals. Sadly, history shows us it didn't unfold quite under those concepts for the Caldari, being industrious and driven people they sought their own destiny on different stars far from the Federation, but thats just one way to look at it.

For those citizens currently living under Federation jurisdiction, Gallente, Intaki, Mannar, Jin-Mei and inmigrants of all corners of the cluster, our current society and goverment suit their needs, therefore June 16th aims to be a celebration for those who enjoy our way of life and wish to share that joy with equals.

On Federation day, those who like the values and principles on which we live today, are welcomed to show it to the best of their abilities.

In my personal preference, Fed day is about meeting the hottest women around, flaunting my best ships in space and having a blast with friends.

Maybe you should come along! No-one is forced to attend any of the more... risqué events.

I may be unable to attend this cultural event celebrating our great federation due other commitments, however I would like to enter the competition.

This is a superb affirmation of everything that makes our Federation great.

Also, what time do the scheduled events commence? I don't particularly care for hanging around Dodixie all day.

You'll forgive me if I do not desire to attend a celebration in honor of the Federation, I hope. I bear your people very little ill, but your government and I are not on the best of terms.

Ok, I'm going to toss my own nomination into the pile. I'm quite proud of this port and like the criticism.

I would like to also nominate myself for Mr Federation this year under the notion that I represent the more laid back and care free and reckless side of the Federation with my rough appearance and actions along with my younger sibling Sohni. Presenting the more back seat side of the Federation ideal than the mainstream slick and sly cover men and women that fight with words and politics, I believe I represent the opposite; less customary approach to things, showing that the Federation is not all one way and presents flexibility in its own ranks coinciding with its shared ideal and cultures.

Wishing everyone a truly fantastic time during this event.

As M. Hans Nardieu notes, above:

"This is a superb affirmation of everything that makes our Federation great. "

Can't add nor subtract from that, really, but speaking as an outsider, I hope it all goes swimmingly for all concerned.

Okay, I'm in for Mr. Federation. Oops

At least it will be a short trip to Dodixie. I use the station as my base.
It seems like everything is a bad pun with me, including my name.

My crew was oddly insistent that I participate in the 'Mr. Federation' contest. I've been told I have a 'rugged charm', apparently. Can't say I've thought about it, myself. I'm just glad I'll be able to make the celebration, this year!
