Lyn, Sweetie, you can stop talking now.

To offer something that's actually on topic, while I'm not especially enthusiastic about a celebration of this nature, best of luck to the competitors, and well-wishes to those hoping or planning to attend. As always when fireworks are involved, please celebrate responsibly.

To know the face of God is to know madness.

I am sorry to hear that. I do not comprehend your point since it does not make any sense to me.

The rest is pure nonsense. It is merely my opinion on education, apparently not the same as yours. I do not consider myself eligible to judge who is worthy to raise children - where did you get that idea again, and what is the point to put words in my mouth continuously like that ? Am I not clear enough in what I say ?

Lyn, I was only kind of joking. This thread has been derailed enough.

I cannot say I am surprised that this tawdry exultation of second rate naval vessels and disgusting, sexist objectification of women is the chosen method for celebrating the Federation, but I am disappointed. Not even a cursory attempt at keeping up with the oft touted, little practiced 'cultural diversity' of the Federation - notably missing even Jin-Mei and Intaki influences.

Still, I guess this flagrant display of primitive gender discrimination and military horn blowing is more palatable than the usual saccharine nonsense the Federal Authorities publish. Maybe you can roll a few fine cigars using ignored petition papers or light them off of the remains of the next public execution (in which you allow the masses to commit murder in at least the second degree)?

However, in the 'spirit of unity' I hope you enjoy this baseless revel. Anesthesia regarding the decrepit state of Federation social policy and cultural education programs is much needed in these trying times apparently.

If you are willing to continue on that subject, I will gladly open a new thread on the question as requested above.

I do not wish to derail the topic any more. If I had responded, I would have clarified that I never meant to advocate the involvement of unqualified people in the practical side of the education process. I also would have pointed out that the claimed failings of Foiritan's cultural and education policies actually improved the status of the private operators on those sectors, resulting in more options to choose from for the families and communities. In many respects, my response might have echoed the point of view represented by Mr. Kross. However, any further discussion should probably be conducted elsewhere, as suggested.

Instead, I would like to encourage all the female capsuleers browsing this discussion topic to take part in the beauty contest.

What would be a better way to show that you are not afraid of what other people think than stepping in the spotlight and letting the audience drool over your tight, trimmed body, smooth complexion and hot, self-conscious smile? Being a capsuleer is a massive individual achievement, you have already beaten almost everyone else in almost every conceivable way. You know you were born to win. Show us some mercy, and let us worship you on the beauty contest stage, as a star among the stars.

Perhaps next year you should hold a sexiest man in the Federation contest, hmm?

Why wait until next year?

I'll judge it.

Well, nothing is preventing you from doing so and I do think you would be able to make unbiased assessments on the beauty of the male form. Even if my own talents lie elsewhere - I've never exactly had the physical perfection of a Brutor, say - and I don't exactly think an audience would drool over my... tight, trimmed body, smooth complexion and hot, self-conscious smile.

They'd probably want to sue me for mental and psychological damages.

You seem to be under the impression I am making these observations as a continuing participant in your decaying nation. In fact your Provist allusions are off the mark but more accurate, as I have been a State citizen via Sukuuvesta sponsorship for the last five years and an Outer region capsuleer before that.

Defend sexist debauches and compensatory machismo all you like, this is a shameful display of how far the Federation has fallen. I may have washed my hands of such hypocrisy soaked 'freedom', but contrary to popular belief, criticism of the depraved, disrespectful and the wasteful is a right that is practiced and cherished in the State.

Feel free to continue waving your true colours if it makes you feel better, but most of us knew that your 'civil liberties' only work when they laud the mess you live in already. By all means, broadcast this 'guns, **** and twits' image to every corner of the cluster - there are some shaky Fed patriots who retain the values of discipline and self-respect and could do with the push into more respectable nations.

Meh, Tiber lets show our patriotism by drinking massive amounts.

Are we sexist? Yes.
Rude? Sometimes.
Debaucherous? Only when we are not sleeping.

Dearest Aelisha, I know you don't understand us as your comments show this. I don't expect you to either. To give a little insight however, we act this way because of those "shaky Fed patriots" whom fought to give us the freedom to express ourselves. We don't know what tomorrow brings, so we save what we can and then enjoy today. At least that's what the Fed means for me.

All in all, when death cant stop you what else can you do but live?

I'm really not sure whether I'll be able to attend. I am by the accident of birth, however, a Federation citizen, so I wish the participants well in celebrating the interstellar nation that I call home. I can say without question that the Federation has been good to me.

Should I come up with a definite yes or no, I'll be sure to follow up.

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, please give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

The very strange thing is that I perfectly understand all possible meanings of the individual words involved in this statement, but when you arrange them together in that specific fashion, they cease to make any kind of sense whatsoever.

Andreus Ixiris > A Civire without a chin is barely a Civire at all.

Pieter Tuulinen > He'd be Civirely disadvantaged, Andreus.

Andreus Ixiris > ...

Andreus Ixiris > This is why we're at war.

I ain't sexist. Anyone, man or woman should find their comfort how they can. No one's forcing these ladies to participate. And I know plenty of ladies that will hoot and holler with us men.

As for debauchery, some wise man said some time ago "Nothing human disgusts me unless it's unkind or violent." Ain't nothing new under the stars.

I will attempt to make it, both in the sexiest Hull I can find, as well as the sexiest outfit I can find. One can't truly appreciate one set of curves without the other, after all.

All this talk of 'debauchery,' it's as if no one watches Gallente holoshows. Using those as a baseline, this 'competition' seems hardly derogatory, and actually quite tame.

I would be interesting in judging a competition of it's like with some fine male flesh, given some people are forced to attend.

Wouldn't forcing someone to attend be rather counter to the ideals of liberty and freedom that this day is supposed to honor?
