This discussion always reminds me of nature shows. Like the ones you see on the Discovery Channel or NatGeo.

On the flat plains of the Serengeti under the watchful eye of Mt. Kilamanjaro (largest mountain in the world that is not part of a mountain range), the gazelle basks in the afternoon sun shooting strip miners at rocks in space. (You can see where this is going). Suddenly, and without warning the gazelle are descended upon by a pride of lions and are removed from their fancy T2 shiny things.

TL;DR - Don't be a gazelle - they suck.

The only thing CCP has done to change suicide ganking in recent years is make it more difficult to do. What has changed is a recent shift in player attitudes towards miners, as well as increased incentive from player organizations to go out and gank yourself a hulk.

One glaring thing that hasnt changed is the miners response. The only thing I see them doing is forum posting, when in fact there are a multitude of options available to you.

1) Join a null sec alliance, probably safer atm than mining in HiSec funnily enough

2) Dont feel like being social? Ok, how about fit defense mods? I still see billion ISK Hulk killmails where the guy had no defense modules fitted. Barring that, create/buy an alt to provide remote repairs.

3) Watch your dscan. See a tornado on scan, turn down your scan range. Ok, its still getting closer, maybe I should start aligning...

4) Create a 2nd character (it can be on your same account even), warp him to the belt you want to mine in, attack something illegally, and have CONCORD sitting at the belt where you want to mine.

Im sure there are more but meh, bottom line is miners are afkers by nature (cant blame em, mining sux), and really the only solution to this problem is not be afk, which might be asking a bit much of these people.

Already unsubbed, just waiting for accounts to expire. Over my own issues with the game and rl, not about the so-called extension of Hulkageddon.

You're just feeding the goonswarm ego with this kind of post, OP, and CCP is never going to listen. Goon has been encouraging ganks for months now; the extension of Hulkageddon is just a play for attention, and your post is exactly the response that feeds them.

Unsub and find another game to play. This one is not what you want. I've already moved on to other games and am having fun again. Then you can come back here and troll the forums with peace of mind, until that blessed day when your last account gives you the message that you're now inactive and can't post any more.

You're asking for a level of humanity that CCP does not have. Don't expect them to get it. Not going to happen.

Actually you don't really "play the game" if you think you are superior by fighting unarmed ships. That the best you can do? Weak.

When all the miners are fed up and gone who will GS tell you to destroy and force out of game next?
Maybe it will be the highsec gankers since all of GS knows that highsec gankers are just another form of carebear.

So when both groups are dealt with and removed from game who Will GS select to scapegoat next.

Since CCP doesnot seem to control EVE in game it would seem the only alternative to stay in game is to join GS or unsub from game.
