Right, but with hybrids at least the confusion is relegated to the meta-names (what with sharing half of them with Projectiles, and not at the same levels). You don't have "Heavy Extended-Rail Ion Cannon" as a medium blaster, for example, but you do have gems such as "Medium Modulated Pulse Energy Beam" (Well played, Invisusira...) in both the laser and projectile lines. Yeah, at least projectiles give you fairly reliable hints with the numbers, but it's still a needless pain.

Then again, Liam has a very good point about CCP and "standardized" naming, so...

There are learning curves, and there are obvious usability issues (like confusing the user with clearly misleading labeling). Don't get the two mixed up.

And while they rename weapons, they should fix stuff that breaks immersion. I recommend dropping the electron/ion/neutron prefixes for blasters (they all spew either ions or plasma looking at the ammo they require) and replacing them with "small/medium/large number_of_tera_electron_volts particle blaster".

As in "small 350 TeV particle blaster".

I generally agree, but disguising something to appear complex and confusing, when it actually isn't like that at all, doesn't necessarily fit in with that category IMO.
