As weak as 'Burn' Jita was, and as much of a yawn as this year's Hulkageddon was, I am still disturbed that CCP all but sanctions this sort of douchebaggery from a group whose admitted purpose, if you can call it a purpose for existence at all, is to ruin everyone else's game. I have been a dedicated EvE player for 3 years, experiencing nearly every avenue the game has to offer.

I've made my own stupid mistakes. I've stolen from other's wrecks and cans. I've PvP'd, solo and fleet. I've lived in null defending and conquering space. I've helped secure systems for station installations. I've bought and traded. I've built and reprocessed. I've spent weeks mining in highsec. I've bought, sold, and fit ships billions of ISK at a time. I've helped pop caps, I've been podded by cap ships. I've spent endless weeks and months skilling for the career that this game, EvE Online, promised me. The only problem is that EvE Online has betrayed me and tens of thousands of other players.

One of CCPs major selling points is that you get to choose your path. Is this true? No. It seemed to be in my beginnings, but in the last year, it is clear that you have no choice. You must PvP. You have no choice. You must stay away from the greatest tools in the game because you will lose it, regardless of the year of skilling it took to perfect your skills. You have no choice.

The term High Sec is a lie. That is all there is to it. I can tolerate a month of mindless ganks which in the end carry little to no profit for the gankers. Even after a 100m bounty, that is greatly cut into by the losses to CONCORD.

The game is setup for those who seek PvP (can you really call ganking a mining ship PvP?) to easily find it in the larger portion of the map of New Eden. But they choose to avoid real conflict by somehow expressing their own ineptitude in Real Life as taking advantage of helpless resource gatherers.

It is this 'threat' that Hulkageddon is now to continue indefinitely that has crossed the line for me, and I'm sure with tens of thousands of others.

High sec ganking MUST carry greater penalties. High Security suggests 'HIGH SECURITY' . Even attaching penalties to account via CC# to prevent creating another char and having another ganker in a matter of hours.

This new threat has crossed the line. I have spent the better part of a YEAR skilling for a career path that I was promised by EvE Online and it was nothing but a lie.

I have 3 active accounts, and a 4th that I hope(d) to resume soon, since Hulkageddon was supposed to be over. I have spent a lot of RL $$$ on PLEXes, better part of $1,000 over 3 yrs I'm estimating, not to mention the months and months of subscription fees when I chose not to use PLEX.

For me personally, I am giving CCP 30 days to take real action and make good on their promises they made to all of us. If I see no action, my accounts will be cancelled until they pull their heads out of their asses.

I hope every player who feels the same will take similar action. I'm just done with being forced into someone else's game simply because they don't have the balls to pick a real fight.

My guess is the mods don't really care as long as the topics aren't critiscing the latest expansion or Soundwaves new hairstyle.

Ganking miners isn't PvP. Knifing the neighbors cat isn't a joke. ("I was just joking.") Ganking miners isn't PvP.
However, there is a diagnosis for those who say it is. Seek therapy. Seriously.
