Can someone explain this to me?

Ok, miners whine when their profession is unintentionally nerfed by missioning and drone poo. So CCP fixes it and they are happy, until Hulkageddon starts. Right now I believe we are on Hulkageddon V. Let me repeat. V.

Null baddies complain about high sec players, thinking everyone should be cannon fodder in blob fights. So they fix that by blowing up industrials in high sec. But then they send out "death squads" after people who talk **** in the forums on them for blowing up their Hulk.

Then everybody clamors and threatens to unsub due to a simplified process, a process which in fact is just as intuitive if not more intuitive than the system that existed before. So of course CCP caves and is currently working on re-implementing some of the archaic systems that have been part of EVE for years, rather than make it clear that change is necessary for a game to flourish.

So my question is this, and if someone could explain it to me, I would be happy...

Why the hell does everyone have to complain? Can't you all just be happy that you get to play the most awesome MMO ever created?

Let the trolling beginTwisted.....

Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the comedian is the only thing that makes sense.

Yea I hear that, but c'mon, eventually all of this whining has got to come to an end somewhere right?

I think a better idea is for everyone to log off their 7 alts for a day and go outside and enjoy some sun and fresh air. Opening windows doesn't count.

Serious and stupid oversimplification of the issues.

CCP always intended to iterate the new inventory system once they had introduced it. They're not caving, just making the system more functional. What exactly is the problem with that?

The "why do people always complain" threads are just as tedious as the rest, and just as pointless.

You must be joking. When did human beings ever stop complaining?

Well, when the CCP devs set out to make the inventory more ldiot-proof, the universe countered immediately by creating bigger ldiots.P

I got lost in thought... it was unfamiliar territory.

I think some people are just really annoyed at CCP releasing the new inventory without seeming to listen to any of the feedback about its use, which is fair enough, it does feel a bit like it's not quite ready for release onto the live server and it does have a lot of lag issues. I think once those are addressed we'll have a much more usable UI. I wouldn't mind if they made it just a double click on the item tree to open a separate window, but whether they'll implement that idea we'll just have to wait and see.

In the meantime just persevere and enjoy the game, I'm getting used to the new inventory but the lag...ouch.

'Feels like'. 'Not quite'. C'mon, it either is or it isn't. Make a commitment.

I'll be honest I don't mind the new inventory, but I detest the lag when opening cans.

As someone who runs wormholes by constantly salvaging (I have two PvE ships running ahead of my salvager, by the time I've salvaged a site, I have another new site to salvage) the behaviour for looting cans has rendered the game rather frustrating.

It does look nice, and I'm sure it'll be great when they stop it switching to cargo hold and remove that 0.5-1 second hitch when opening/closing/looting cans, but until then I'm simply avoiding running WHs at all.

Yay, semantics.
