Massive Performance drop after Inferno expansion

I usually get 200-300 FPS in station and a bit less in space, and about that much at the login screen too. After Inferno however, I now get a mere 20 FPS at the login screen and 30 in stations. The game is very choppy as well. Even mouse movements over buttons seems delayed or laggy.

When I play windowed mode, I get the correct performance I'd expect. It's only when I play full screens at 7680 x 1600 resolution that this horrible slowdown occurs.

My setup has not changed since Inferno, here are the key points:

8 Gigabytes DDR3 RAM 1600mhz
Phenom II 965 quad core at 3.4 GHz
Two AMD HD 7970 graphics cards with 3 Gigs of memory each in Crossfire
EVE installed to a RAID 0 array of SATA III SSDs

Three 30" monitors in Eyefinity, resolution 7680 x 1600.

Like I said, I used the same configuration before Inferno just fine. Now, full screens mode, it runs like crap.
Any fix?

Apparently the "fix" for now for me was to disable Crossfire. Running the game on one gpu instead of two increased my FPS from 20, up to 60 at login, and up to around 180 in a station.

Not ideal, but it'll work for now until a real solution comes from CCP.

Or a new crossfire profil from AMD ?

Why would you even need two of those cards active to play eve, even with x3 monitors.

Probably your temps flying through the roof?

Hethor, I have almost the exact same setup as you but useing 3 1080p monitors. I found that moving the setting option from "Interval one" to "Interval immediate" helped get the FPS you are used to. However it is making the second card give off a weird buzz from the power control section under the fan. I'm kinda upset about these cards AMD needs to works the bugs out of the Drivers to truely make them work well.

I had a pair of 6970's i thik i might put them back in and just wait on the drivers or sell them off and wait for some 680's

P.S. why 2 big cards you ask? Eyefinity in BF3 is sweeet!
