Container Logs & Inability to Repackage

Short Version (for those TL;DR people): I can't repackage several of my containers I haven't touched in months except to try to repackage them every 3-4 weeks or so, and CCP (both GM's and BugHunters) deny the issue I'm having exists.

Read on for the extended cut.

Without going into tremendous detail, I have an issue that has been returned to me as a "feature working as intended" rather than a bug or flaw.

Having received ZERO useful support from 3 different people (2 GM's and a person who denies that it's an issue), I figured I'd resort to the forums.

Several other users have told me they have this issue as well, so I know it's not local to just me.

I am unable to repackage a station vault at my home station. I can right-click on it, I can select "Repackage" from the context menu, and I can click "Yes" on the confirmation dialog. After that, nothing happens. The station vault does not get repackaged, and the log shows no further interaction. In this particular case, the container in question was last (visibly) interacted with on 29 February 2012. That is well in excess of 21 days ago. None of the failed repackage attempts are visible in the log.

According to whomever it was at (a non-working email address, btw), this is a feature working as designed. The failed repackage attempts are hidden from the log viewing. Also, to add insult to injury, they state that simply VIEWING the log resets the timer, effectively saying that renaming the container is the only way to know when you can safely repackage the container, because checking the log will make you wait 3 more weeks.

I think this is absolutely ridiculous. I've been going back and forth with 2 GMs who deny that the issue I'm having is more wide-spread than just me (one basically called me an idiot for not understanding him), and the bug report I filed was dismissed within 12 hours of filing it as "working as designed". How the hell am I supposed to feel like a customer being served here? Where is the satisfaction I'm supposed to gain from throwing my hard-earned money at CCP so I can play the game the way i want to? I understand that there are over 60,000 players, and that each of those players have needs as well.

All that said, if you're having the issue where you can't repackage a station container, POST ABOUT IT. They don't believe that it is more than just me having the issue.

I'm kinda surprised, because normally the logs show nothing. :)

Seriously though, if you are gonna put a "cooldown" time on repackaging Station Cans/Warehouses, then you should have a way to find how much time is left on it so you can do it..

Also I'm having this problem on an alt, though I never knew this was the cause lol.

I had this same issue. I actually renamed my can so that I could have an accurate log, although before I did that I tried repackaging without looking at the log, so I don't see how that could have been the issue... What?

I have had problems with logged containers recently too.

I too am having the same issue.

I'm trying to empty station I no longer use so as I don't end up with tens or even hundreds of stations listed on my assets page.
Have been trying to repackage these containers for 3 months now without joy, and it's finally annoyed me to the point where a Google search revealed this thread.

If anyone has any ideas I'd love to know.

According to GM Radiance, even viewing the log resets the timer.

Currently, the only workaround to the as-yet-unacknowledged issue is to make note (either on paper, in your in-game calendar or by renaming the container) of when you last looked at it, and don't try to repackage it until the 22nd day AFTER that date.

Yes, I realize this means you'll be stuck with it for another 3 weeks, but the GMs don't seem to care.
