As mentioned, Eve-Uni operates in that system with other peaceful corps in a philanthropic and altruistic project headed by an ex-unista.
Furthermore, TRECI, Sleeper Social Club, Kill it With Fire, Adhocracy Inc, and other wormhole corps have strong ties to the Uni and help them out frequently, be it guest lectures, wormhole practicals, apprenticeships, or defence. When we heard the system was being invaded we formed up to save their assets, and apart from one empty small tower, we did just that.

Honestly, the only reason it was a joint op anyway was because 2/3 of each corp are off playing Diablo 3 atm
But I digress...

So if Sudden Buggery wants to play the school bully and beat on 5-man alt and indy corps living in wormhole space, so be it. But when the school kid you beat up this time turns out to have a quarterback for an older brother and he kicks the crap out of you for it, don't whine about it in public, It draws attention to yourself.
And that isn't something you want right now...

p.s. I'm liking the new in-game killmails where we can see that said orca had ALL your stuff in it's corp hangar

starbridge lent us the use of their C6 so we could chain collapse for a specific C6 (since we have a C5 static).
they were always part of our fleet and were in no way batphoned.

So they're blue then?

Nope. Genuinely happy to have received intel on exactly the situation.
It's vaguely sarcastic because I suspect some people won't like knowing that Red Circle have let slip the location of a supposedly hidden asset (at least not before they're certain there's no one in there who can perpetually open the highsec) - even E-Uni members don't know the J-number (or at least, it was OPsec back in the day).

It's not a super secret thing buddy, anyone with rudimentary access to Eve Uni knows that stuff.

What it shows is how little research you did into your target system. Go back to highsec griefing, its more your style.

Don't even need that. I do a lot of my research through Eve-Kill.net

That place has existed in many iterations over the years and has done a lot to get new groups into W-Space. At least now you know what kind of "homo" was going on and why a good fight wasn't the goal.

Christ are you all ever ******* mad and butthurt.

How dare we shoot anyone in wormholes without a triplicated fact-finding mission to check who they are!

Why don't you climb down off your high horses and let them know what they did to make themselves a target? Instead of handwringing about babies and lollypops. Things such as hardeners outside the shields? And all the other terrible setups that are in there.

You're all telling me if you find a bunch of alt corps owned by carebears in a WH somewhere ISK-printing with terrible setups you wouldn't go knocking on the door to find out what happens?

We are far from the only people who will shoot people carebearing in wormholes.

Clearly not. After posting in this thread I have already had an offer to be paid to let someone get a COVOPS in.

Whichever way you slice it, telling someone exactly who owns the assets (especially when attached to a polarizing group like E-Uni) and how and where to contact those to gain access in a public forum isn't that bright.

So uni members ganking one of your legions in there, and some being around in the system before you moved in didnt give you a hint.

It gave me the following information:

- That E-Uni had, at some point, a fleet in the wormhole. Not to be confused with having a single asset in the WH tagged IVY in any way. Of course, we were wary to them coming back.
- I checked Eve-kill looking for any solid intel (I had before, but was looking for the link) on the hole beyond what information corps. Here's the page: http://eve-kill.net/?a=system_detail&sys_id=6293

Apart from a guy who'd not gotten enough sleep falling for bait, E-Uni weren't anywhere to be seen. None of the locals were involved (seemingly) with the legion loss.

Eventually a SSC proteus (scan fit) shows up then logs a while later. It's unknown whether this is in the WH or elsewhere - locators put him in unknown space, so, it's possible he's a forward insertion point.
This suggests someone from the E-Uni fleet gave out the fact all the POCO's and a couple of towers were reinforced. Still - why would you run with your tail between your legs at this point? The only logical option is to go ahead and see what happens. We add him to watchlists all the same.

Eventually you guys show up, IDK the exact circumstances of it since it wasn't in my TZ. We hang around long enough to work out
a) you're assisting the locals
b) aren't looking for a fight (you brought as many logi and ECM Tengu's as we had DPS ships)
So we bail with very light losses.

- CEO posts that WH coalitions just lead to blue balls on both sides, true generally IMO.

- You all chime in how we're nasty evil bullies for shooting carebears in wormholes, because of COURSE you all do a full 3 day analysis of any potential target to make sure they're able to field exactly equal numbers before engaging.

To wit the sole reason we attacked that particular WH last weekend (from a list of potential ops) was because we'd not broken a fleet of 15 for the past while, including dualboxing (diablo, sunshine, my GF in a bikini, people with patch issues) so it was either that or roll wormholes incessantly. The locals could have easily ganged up and caused an issue, in my estimation.

Now, you may well go "Waaa look at you evil bullies!" but I would point out to you:

a) We hire new players
b) At least a solid third, nearing 45% of people who went on the OP were players who started in 2012
c) Several (including a couple of losses incurred) have started playing since April, so about 2 months old.

Frankly I'm rather proud our new guys are out there causing trouble and mayhem (you should see my inbox of complaints when we teach new guys how to have fun) and not all huddled into a wormhole and wailing for people to come and help them when someone shows up to do something other then shoot sleepers.

I've no ******* clue why people decide new players are cute delicate kittens and need sheltering from all the harm in EvE when they can just as well get involved in the harsh parts of EvE from day one.

You've not experienced the true joy of being an Evil Mentor(TM) until you've held down some hapless carebear's pod whilst your 4 day old corp mates jumps over to whack it whilst cackling maniacally on comms.

Anyway, our MO is to shoot/reinforce **** and see what turns up. It's a proven method of getting fights. I'm not going to start EvEmailing them and asking permission to do it. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Sometimes nothing interesting happens at all, and othertimes you start a saga.

That's what makes it interesting. If I wanted a who's blue to who list and political horsecrap I'd go find it elsewhere.

You may want to Google "tears"
