Are auto targeters useful at all? I literally can't fit anything else in my last high slot. I use fire tails for FW tackling if that's relevant.

My cap skills are good and with this activated I can run everything for over a minute which is more than enough time to make the kill. I run in gangs and don't do solo pvp.

Just curious of your thoughts. Would this module be useful or hindering to my role?

They only target hostiles actively engaging you. They are useless in PVP, and almost useless in PVE. It takes awhile for it to cycle and than you have to wait for you to lock onto what appears to be an almost random set of ships that fit the criteria of actively engaging you. Most people go into menu and set auto lock back to 12, which makes this almost useless anyway.

I only use it on some AFK drone boats I own so I can keep track that my drones are still all grouped when I glance back at the screen. Beyond that I don't recommend using it, your better off fitting anything else if you can.

Welcome to Eve. Everyone here is an Evil Sick Sadistic Bastard who is out to get you. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either trying to scam you or use you.

Auto-targeters aren't useful for the targeting feature, the only useful feature of them is the bonus locked targets, that's the only reason they're used really.

I'd have an offlined something rather than an online autotargeter on a PvP boat.

Put a heat sink in between your gun groups.
