Hmm... my idea is that it should have 5 subsystems on it.

In other words, give us a starting point, or more info on what you're trying to do. Some of us may enjoy fitting, but we're not fitting monkeys or mind readers. So... ball's still in your court. Relevant info: your skills, how you want to use it, what missions, what rats, what budget, etc.

What do you demand from it?

…because the first thing you need to know is that medium lasers (arguably all medium turrets) aren't all that good for missions. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it the results will be less than spectacular. If you just want a ship that's fun to fly, on the other hand, then that's very doable.

Cane, Harbi, Abso and Sleipnir would like to have a word with you.

Just because "it works" doesn't mean it's good, they lack dps and range. The Legion is particularly bad for missions, for various reasons:

- no drones with the laser sub, meaning you can't really deal with spider drones unless you completely focus your fit on it, also while dealing with those small targets you're wasting time as you're not attacking the big targets
- Missile sub only really works with HAMs, making it useless for missions.
- Amarr T2/T3 resists don't complement the em/thermal damage type of its lasers. The tanking resists favour Minnie NPCs while not doing anything against Amarr based NPCs and lasers suck against minnie (and pretty much everything outside Amarr based NPC)

So, the Legion is CRAP for lvl 4 missions, the fact that "it can work" has nothing to do with it. it lacks drones, dps, range and tank making it a completely illogical choice.

“Hi Cane, Harbi, and Abso. I regret to inform you that you would all be better off if you were using missiles”.

The Sleipnir gets somewhat a pass because it has the one thing that medium turrets lack: range (also, silly-good free tank). The others do not.

Yes, you can make them all survive and complete missions, but they require a lot of trucking around to do so and to properly apply the paper damage they can put out. This is what I mean by it being very possible to make a ship that's fun to fly, but that lack of range — a common trait for all M-size turrets — quite drastically cuts into the efficiency.

Efficiency be damned, this is a game. It's meant to be fun. Ten out of ten times I'd rather rat/plex/mission in a Hurricane, Sacrilege, or Legion rather than a Drake or Tengu. Reason? Fun!

Anyway, OP asked for Legion, so Legion he will get. Once he provides more info about what he needs it for, though...

Following that logic, I could suggest you run everything in a Navy Slicer. I've run L4s in one. Doesn't mean you want to do it repeatedly.

Not at how much they're going to cost to replace because of the Amarr sucking at war. Roll

Abaddon and Apoc are actually very boring ships to use in missions because of range. They say The Blockade is difficult. For me it's more like a yawn fest.

Err... so why not buy an Abaddon or Paladin, or even an Apoc? They're much better for level 4 missions than a Legion would be. Legion is pretty good with an expensive fit for things like C3's and they aren't too bad at doing anoms, but other than that I can't think of why you'd want one.
