Issues, Workarounds & Localization

Hi guys

Operating syetem windows 7 64x

Ok I download eve and if I try starting it through the launcher I get the following error:

X The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxtrace.exe tool for more detail. LoadLibary(pythondll) failed.


I can get eve to work by goiong into the bin folder and using the Exefile in there..... then whats the problem I hear you say.

Basically ever time eve patches, even if its just a hot patch I have to re-download the entire game (which as well as being annoying generally and taking hours, completely resets all of my game settings so I have to set up my overview etc again)

Is there a way around this or am I just going to have to keep downloading teh entire game every time there is a patch. My buddy suggested wipeing my hd and totally re-installing windows but that seems a bit extreme and knowing my luck I probably wont be able to find all my drivers again.

any ideas.......
