Maybe he got stuffed and bought big piles of zyd/nox/mega at their peak price thinking they were on the up. got screwed when they went down instead.

... and now he's trying to artificially inflate the price of cheap mining lasers to make it more expensive to mine and therefore push mineral prices up...

only a theory... a theory that'd require him to be very dumb.
