Had about 20>25 "Socket Closed" disconnects over the last 12 hours.

Gone through the diagnostics at my end, nothing else is disconnecting, no other localised lag or latency issues, and no faults being reported with the local or national infrastructure.

Ran the usual trace's, nothing stands out between me and London as being an issue.

Anyone else having similar?

CCP - can you have one of your network tech's give your end a look over?

*shrugs* I'm a capital builder, and I can't say as I've had an issue with the new inventory system yet.

I've had it a couple of times - never had it in the past.

Either its prematurely detecting a socket timeout and kicking you out or as I suspect its just the servers under higher than normal load and will go back to normal over the next few days. I'm gonna wait a few days to see if it settles before looking at it again.

I had one of these things, maybe they set it to be oversensitive and it happens even if you lose a couple of packets
This is my signature. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.  Without me, my signature is useless. Without my signature, I am useless

I had this for over a week for Sisi, while TQ & web was fine. Ran traceroutes, etc. It was finally fixed by either CCP doing an update or restarting my router, not sure which as both happened at about the same time. So try the router reboot, and pray it isn't CCP's end, or protocol change that's being flagged & filtered by ISPs.

And remember Shift + Backspace forces fade from black in the Eve client.
And Ctrl+Alt+Shift+M for the Monitor, with the Network and Outstanding calls tabs. Not that watching it will help you much.

Gone through that already.

However, via the joys of pingplotter running on a 30 second cycle I've potentially found the problem.

And it's not a new one either.

Seems as though telia.net are dropping packets left right and centre again.

CCP - for the love of god, can you PLEASE stop using them? They provide an atrocious service and those of us who work in the comms industry all know it...

There are plenty of alternative backbone providers out there, and with the exception of Opal/Tiscali pretty much all of them provide a better service!
