How to depopulate WH POSes.

Or: Unified Inventory Windows for people who live in WHs.

How are people supposed to move things around in a WH? Things that can't do jobs can't be renamed, so how are we to know which arrays things are receiving the items we move around?

Hell, just open your inventory on a POS. It doesnt matter if you're on a deathstar or not, your window makes you cry. ALL THE GUNS have space on them. They all show up on the window. They cannot be filtered from the view.

I guess that WHs were too dangerous for CCP's taste, so they decided to make all the natives ragequit out of frustration.

Not to mention the horrific load time the CH's now come with. I do like the layout of it but damn it needed more work before implementation than this.

Try opening your own carrier CHA while fleeted with other carriers/oracs while sitting in a deathstar with a couple of CHAs... took about 40 seconds the first time for the window to update.

While I like the concept they really really should have worked on streamlining every day actions people used the inventory for before going live with it on TQ.

In highsec i'm ok with the new inventory. little bit of an adjustment, but functional and something im going to like.

but seriously. i log into comms today to siezures of a guy trying to move stuff from one place to another and nothing can be renamed, so it went in the wrong thing like 10 times. srsly.

If we had caps or orcas in space on that pos, it would have been worse. I'd applaud if they released it after they got the filters set up so that you can only show small autocannons. or filter them off. or only show silos with this reactant in it. or only labs. or something. but really CCP? isnt living out of a POS hard enough?

The best part is that anytime someone switches ships on the pos grid from any SMA. It refreshes your UI.

It could be solved with filters to see the layouts that we want to see

Hey, we just figured it out. Press shift and then clic and it opens a new window with the selected item`s cargohold.

Thanks for the helpful tip.

I would think people like Two Step would push for an immediate streamlining of the POS item inventory, if CCP is not already working on it. That being said, the new inventory takes a few minutes to get used to, but it really is nice.

part of the problem though is that it shows everything, takes awhile, and then if it isnt in range, doesnt grey it out on the tree or anything, but just tells you that you're out of range.

i think that things out of range fading out so that you can TELL would help tons.

Agreed. A lot ot thinking was NOT done before this rollout. Should hav ebeen delayed, and thought about some more, first.

Again, a filters for cargoholds would be a nice solution, togheter with the new shift and clic feature. About the loading time, It could be done alongside the filters too, only load what you set up to see

Filters would be nice for sure, and/or the possibility to rename structures would help too.

Well I guess that CCP, knows that there is some issue with their new UNITED INVENTORY and hopefully there'll be a patch soon ™.

I wouldn't really count on a "quick" fix for all the problems. All those things where reported in the test server forum many times. CCP could have foreseen those things easily, but they just ignored. I don't know from where they just take a working UI that quickly...

i say we take off and nuke the whole site from orbit. it's the only way to be sure

Subfolders for guns would help, but I'm extremely happy for the filters. Now I can just throw everything in my hangar div, and the filters work like containers, only faster.

The hangars lag a bit more, but it's not like they didn't lag before.

I think the concept is sound, but man the implementation is SH***. Why are all guns/nuets displayed, and why can I not just right click and remove them from the list, kind of like overview settings. Or put them under a subgroup that can be minimized....there are lots of possible solutions. Hopefully, CC

They are going to allow us the rename every single POS Mod.
So Pulse Laser 1 to Pulse Laser 32 etc
names for everything, easier to find stuff and better to troll people.
Get creative with the names!

When this starts working in game, then things will finally be much more workable. I still want filters for the left hand of the window as well as the right.
