Well, I don't see logged off alts in local any more, but I do still see them in other chat channels. So your fixes still need fixing.

The fix deployed today didn't have the desired effect. We take this issue seriously and are actively working on it with senior people. We'll keep updating https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=111990 as we make progress.

I wasn't having this issue with my own toons. Logging them out showed them as logged out. Until today. Not sure if it's the patch or the fact I cleared my cache, but now all my alts are showing as still logged in even though none are.

...and local is still screwed for me.

People were constantly telling me I was crazy. For a long time I didn't believe them, but after a while, I started to think they might be right.

But it turns out that they were all wrong. One of the voices in my head is a psychiatrist and he says I'm perfectly sane.

A fix has been deployed live to TQ and cleanup performed. Initial inspection indicates that the issue is resolved, but you may possibly have to relog for the client's cache to refresh.

Further inspection indicates that we have found and eliminated the main culprit. The breakage rate was a thousand channels a minute but is now down to 2 or 3 in a half hour. We are continuing the investigation.

And now all should be fine. There will be some very minor issues until DT tomorrow, at which point everything should return to normal.

That's nice m8, but honestly who/what even played with this bit of the client to cause this to happen?

We were refactoring the chat service, preempting DUST 514 players joining us on TQ later this year. The issues we encountered were race conditions with the large number of players we have on TQ, which we did not observe during testing.

That's really interesting, and I condone you for admitting that it was a new feature you were preparing for.
It would have been helpful if you had admitted that as soon as the issue reared it's ugly, chat-integrated head.

+1 to talking to Consolenoobs while logged in at my PC

"Delayed mode" today was functioning more like "Recent speakers" mode, where the chat member list would go blank if nobody had spoken for a while, rather then displaying all of the members who were in the channel list.

I'm hoping you accidentally also fix the problem with the station guest list where guests are randomly shown as neutral, until you refresh the list. This is currently happening whenever you login to the local channel as well.

This is still present to my knowledge and one we are looking into now.
