I cannot stand this new inventory system.
Having a Rorqual's cargo open, rorqual's corp hangers open, it's fuel bay open, and trying to move things in and out with this new system, and the corp hanger in the station and my own items hanger, and I run screaming from the building yelling at the top of my lungs THANK YOU AGAIN CCP!

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

You guys really should actually play the game more so you realize what a mess you've made!

im allways looking for them hangar buttons. Its very annoying, & needs re-implementing. Im sick of it. I can see WHY they did this UI upgrade, but, it really isnt for me, & ive still got multiple windows all over the place, because theres times i NEED to see what im dragging where.

no after a week or so have having this stupid UI i have gotten a little fast at using it but ITS STILL SLOW.
It takes a good min to find the hanger i am looking for and to MOVE something from one hanger to anther takes to long.
then even when i ctrl and click to seperate the window some time i just closes the whole window or does nothing - love the response from it.

i now can not be asked to refuel my carrier after every use as i feel like crying for the amount of time it takes to find the window in some small window, if it is at a pos gd luck at all with all the stuff in that list, then seprating the windows to relize it closed all my windows and have to start again, it would be faster for me to self destruct than to move something in the same amount of time.

I have been having a conversation about this with a GM via petition since the first day of the change.

In his last response to me, he told me that although he agrees with some of my concerns, he is unable to communicate those issues to the devs. Shocked WHAT?!?

So he directed me to A DIFFERENT THREAD which is supposed to be the "official" thread the devs read.

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=112481

I hope everyone can head on over there and get some action done.

Thanks!

OK, so now a DEV told me that there is a NEW "official" thread on this.

Um so remind me again why , and what was wrong woth the old system. and why it was fixed when it really was not broken to begin with.

I can get used to it if I have to but it is definately not a very user freindly UI, again don't fix the things that aint broke!!

- Button to open your station item hangar directly

All the easy access buttons that are missing, the worse part is all the item windows reset when you dock again.

EDIT: Now having played a bit more, and me being a pirate. I like the new missile effects and the new killmails. Also the value shown of all items in a hangar is nice. But please also fix the above.

EDIT 2: Some other told you so before ... Yet they went ahead with the change..

CCP we also like to have multiple windows open that don't reset with a session change. People find it difficult to mine, run missions, browse pos inventory. And I havent touched yet the subject where you multibox, where u preset your screen for a specific task. And then the inventory resets itself each time, making it a pain to multibox.

Hello Spacefriends

We've been collecting and planning changes to the unified inventory system based on the various threads currently on the forums. The list right now is comprised of the issues we feel are most urgent after reviewing the feedback and by no means the final list of what will be fixed. It is a list of what we´re fixing right now and we can certainly add more stuff to be added when the schedule is a bit calmer.

Changes that are currently in production (being done as you're reading this)

Dealing with the multiple inventories of a POS is a nightmare and our first package will hopefully mitigate that. These are the changes we’re making:
POS structures will go into a tree view, so guns will have their own category and so on. This should make it less cluttered and users can pick exactly which module group they’re interested in.
We’re going to allow renaming of all POS structures, this should let players navigate more easily in the tree view, instead of a large group of identical items.
Structures you can interact with and can’t interact with will be clearly marked, so the tree view will tell you which ones you can open and which ones you can’t (basically what you’re in range of, similar to the overview)
Next up after that!

Shift-clicking works fine, but like with all shortcuts, you need to know it exists. We’re going to allow inventories to be “dragged out” of the main UI. It’s basically the same functionality as shift clicking, but instead of being hidden behind a hotkey, you can simply drag and drop it out with your mouse.
Your active ship will be available both through the current tree but it will also be available in the hangar tree, to avoid confusion.
When you use a shortcut to open a specific bay, it will open in “separated” mode, with the tree view compact so you can quickly get the view you want.
The main UI will always be available from the Neocom, even when you have separated windows open.
Two issues we’ll fix but have not found the exact solution to

There are two things we´d really like to change but don´t have a nailed down solution to just yet.

One is persisting windows that only work in certain places (you have a window that only works in the station and you want it to be open and in the same location the next time you dock for example).

The other is some sort of visualization of your ship in the inventory. Whether it’s a thumbnail or something else isn’t sure, but we’re working to hammer these two down and get them in as well.

Anyway, that´s it for now, you should start seeing these items slip on to TQ shortly. Thank you for your feedback!

I'd like the whole old system back instead of waiting for CCP to slowly change it back to how it was with some glitter on it

I agree - use the new code and bring back old functionality!

Tree view can be nice in some circumstances, but I still would like to fly around with my trunk open - and without it being affected when clicking on the inventory button.

Some inventories should have their own independent windows!!

I have feelings, I can smile - and murder while!

Posting in the thread because of the truthiness.

Seriously guys, the new system is still too damned fiddly and unpredictable to use without the old buttons we all loved. How hard can it be to put the buttons back (and the right-clicky context menu items too) and make them open a new window viewing appropriate default spots in the tree?

I absolutely hate using the new system right now because it jumps around and acts inconsistently too:

- When you change ships, cargo holds and ship corp hangar windows close - PITA!
- Double-click on a ship keeps changing ships instead of opening cargo like it used to, leading to above PITA!
- Dropping items into a station corp hangar that you don't have view rights to keeps collapsing the tree view - PITA!

Please keep fixing it...
