Would also like them to retain their settings and reopen in the last spot when docking/undocking/changing system (like they used to).

Why is it that each time CCP does something major with the interface, it 'looks' nice on paper but when i actually sit in front of the game and see it i spend the first 5 minutes marveling at the nice new interface... and the next half hour thinking about what functionality i just lost, how much more time i have to spend doing what i did effortless before and how to actually do what i did before?

Damn! And the neocom bar is still not back to what it once was. :-/

Seems CCP have returned to their ways of half baked ideas and unfinished code. Who else would ask for feedback, ignore it and push it through anyway.

Remember how that went last year?

edit: Just tried to refuel a cap ship from the corp hanger. You have to jump through hoops to do previously simple tasks. We really an option to go back to the old system if it's preferred like CQ.

Nice to see its all going along as we predicted. We raged on this issue on SiSi, CCP ignored us. Windows still cant remember crap of positions, Its slower and with worse visibility than the old inventory, but by all means, let push it to TQ.

How 3 weeks of negative feedback on new inventory UI didnt ring any bells to CCP? Simple, they dont care....as always. Half finished crappy product got pushed to live couse no DEV has balls to say it is bad.

I like the new Unified Inventory, but removing quickbuttons to ships, and corp hangar is bad.

Kind of but not quite.

I want them to build on the new system by letting us assign “root objects” as specific windows.

Let me define a “station” inventory that has things like the station hangar, corp hangar, corp deliveries and ship hangar in its tree, and nothing else (because those are the only things that are subcategories to station inventories). Then let me define a “ship” inventory window that has things like the ship cargo hold, the drone bay, the ore bay, the whatever-bay in its tree view and nothing else (because those inventories are the only ones that have a ship as its root object).
Then let me define a “cargo can“ inventory that lists… (drumroll) cargo cans in its tree view, because that's the only thing that sorts under that root object.

…and now let me actually make use of that much-vaunted NeoCom customisation to assign each of these root-object-inventories to a specific button (and as an added bonus, let me define a custom keyboard command for each such button). Then let each such window remember aaaaaaall of its settings: location, size, last seen content, default content, stacking, view modes, tree and filter expansions and settings and so on.

Then we'll have something that starts to look like a good inventory management system (also, cross-port the inventory manager to cover the other two obvious uses: the S&I interface and the asset windows — both corp and personal).

Also; please for the love of God group the labs / defences / arrays on the POS. That list is freakin' long and for POS defences I'm rarely going to give a damn about them, especially as it says I have to be within 2500 to open.

I don't mind the unified industry it's handy in some ways, but they should have left us the icons for the ship and item hangars as well.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Oh hi ccp

This inventory system has potential.

That said, bring back the old buttons.

And stop dropping these UI bombs.
I dont mind you put new stuff in the game, but this whole: "we just force it down our clients throats" is not a good business strategy.
Make this stuff more optional.

Remember the right click window changes and the walking in hangar thingy?

THIS IS BROADCAST FOR EVERYONE.

CCP OVERLOOKED OPTION -> ESC -> GENERAL SETTINGS -> "Merge Items and Ships into Station Panel"

SOMEHOW IT ESCAPED THE CLUTCHES OF UNIFIED INVENTORY AND STILL WORKS AS INTENDED.

AMARRIAN GOD PLEASE HELP US ALL TO FORGIVE DEVS FOR THIS NEW INVENTORY SYSTEM.

Post here if you want the following back:

- Button to open corp hangar directly
- Button to open ships hangar directly
- Button to open your station item hangar directly

All the easy access buttons that are missing, the worse part is all the item windows reset when you dock again.

EDIT: Now having played a bit more, and me being a pirate. I like the new missile effects and the new killmails. Also the value shown of all items in a hangar is nice. But please also fix the above.

I begrudge upvoting you due to belonging to a corp who's only trick is smartbombing gates, but your point is valid enough for me to overlook my discrimination and upvote your suggestion. Go you.

I use merge Ships and Items with station hangar, so I always have them on the right pane.

I recommend this for anyone who sits in a station regularly. As thus, i don't really feel the need for this. Perhaps what would be better is a way to bookmark any window in a setting you like.

For those of you who don't like the index, I'd like to point out you can minimize the index and never see it again by pressing the double chevrons on the top left of the panel.

Where I am.
