Maybe someone have said already, I dont know.

Issue - Before inferno I could type something in filter field in hangar (I am living in WH) and I was able to check every hangar's devision in order to find what I need. Now I need to type the name of item in the filter field every time I change the division. That is disaster!!!
New UI looks cool but is not workable. Shame.

The inventory system is akin to tourture and I shall be reporting you to the hague for war crimes against UI's.

Roll it back, step away from the crack and dont spent 3-6 months doing it like ship spinning.

I would suffer a weeks worth of waterboarding over this new inventory system anytime and I'm being compeletly and utterly serious about that. If that helps to put into percepective my feelings of this change in a way that you may possibly understand.

Worst move ever!

Although you were present at the capture of enemy dungeon in Oyonata, the following circumstances prevent you from qualifying for loyalty points for your effort:
You were too far away from the target.

I was IN the plex, but not on the timer. Do we have to be within capture distance (i.e. running the timer) to get the LP? If so, that sucks as we often have members spread around a plex and not on a timer (e.g. camping the warp in with a single person running it down).

Patch notes don't seem to indicate this is a requirement.

Factional Warfare sites now give Loyalty Points when captured: ◦Minor sites: 10,000 LPs
◦ Standard sites: 17,500 LPs
◦ Major sites: 25,000 LPs
◦ Major Stronghold or Major Compound sites: 30,000 LPs
◦ Infrastructure Hubs: 40,000 LPs

• All LP gains are split among all eligible members. Example: Two Amarr enlisted players capturing a Minmatar or Gallente Minor site would only receive 5,000 LPs for the 24th Imperial Crusade each.

This is by design; players wishing to get rewards have to be actually contributing to the capture. Good catch on the path notes thought, thanks for pointing that out.

With respect - 'stupid' is not a word I throw around lightly, but the idea that people who aren't on the button aren't contributing to capturing the plex qualifies. In plex warfare, a lot of the time the fight takes place on the warpin. The people on the warpin keep the wartargets off the guy counting the button. It is ludicrous to suggest that they aren't doing anything useful, and to penalise them for risking their ships on 0 on the warpin is very silly.

Furthermore, this wasn't discussed anywhere, it wasn't in the blog, and as you say, it wasn't in the patch notes, thus we couldn't even give you feedback on how bad an idea this is. Please reconsider this as soon as possible.

In fact, the plex interface as a whole is currently extremely buggy. Timers aren't counting. There is a workaround involving fiddling around with brackets that sometimes works. In some cases plexes just won't cap at all no matter how long you sit there. Please take another look.

[edit: and another one, just ran a minor plex that had a timer that wouldn't count no matter what, so sat there for about 20 minutes, no green message in local to say it closed - I gave up and warped out, suddenly it disappears off my overview, but it hasn't affected the system's contested level at all. What gives, CCP?]

Your new UI takes more time to work with than the old system, and it takes up more of the screen. Also when you go from dealing with ship cargo in space and back into the hanger you need to readjust everything repeatedly.

The new UI is more disruptive to gameplay than the CQ were in Incarna. At least we could turn that off and just deal with the door in the background. There is no way around this mess at this point.

This is not an improvement (except artistic) by any stretch of the imagination. Adding additional steps is a horrible implementation of HCI design principles.

The fact there are people here on the forums adamantly stating they warned you in advanced and were brushed to the side, is an even further indictment of your design process at this point.

Also, please read the following books before you attempt your next interface overhaul:

"Designing with the Mind in Mind " by Jeff Johnson

:trollface?:

this bug has been there for a very long time

Yea but now the bug is worse since you get 10 SMAs in your inventory list with the same name.

I know, but it's a feature. CCP improving your game experience, one time consuming, frustration causing feature at a time.

salvaging wrecks...........dbl click wreck opens window, loot all then refreshes that said window to now show contents of cargohold even if you have a seperate cargohold window open.....then when you dbl click the next wreck, it refreshes the hold window to show the wreck contents. etc etc

the problem with this is that its creating lag/a definite delay, by having to constantly update itself.

Its just something else that youve introduced which is a step backward imo, unless its a stealth nerf to stop missioners salvaging now.

I haven't tried any looting of wrecks yet, but I can see the problems that might arise. I had each cargo window docked in one block so I could just rattle through them in quick succession, I get the feeling now that this method is probably going to be slowed down some.

Things that I've found are that your active ship is removed from the list of icons in the ship hangar, that's a little confusing. I don't mind the new double click functionality for making a ship active, but it did catch me off guard after it opening that ships cargo for so long, but having your active ship vanish from the ships you have in the hangar is not a good design idea.

Finding the 'To Captains Quarters' option on the right click context menu on my ship is a bit annoying, I don't use CQ and having it directly above 'Get Repair Quote' is probably going to end up with me clicking the CQ option accidentally a few times, which isn't something I look forward to.

I also have a chat channel with a load of autolinks to systems and stations that just use the system name as the link for the text. Today I find that every neat one word link has been replaced by the full system > planet > moon > station name. If i'd wanted that I would have done it myself..

To those of you who are just finding out about the unified inventory. This feature has been live on the test server for weeks now. In addition to that it has been announced on the forums for even longer. It is completely ridiculous of you to be so angry/upset over a feature that you should have known was coming. Note that I am *NOT* talking about those of you who are having problems with it, just those that didn't bother to give feedback or test it.

I pay money to play the game not to test it. If I was a tester, CCP would be paying me.

Also, this is not the first time devs ignore our feedback on the SiSi forums. I for one gave up on testing new stuff on SiSI and participating on mass tests long ago for this reason. Why waste our time when they are going to press on with their half-assed features regardless?.

2 Issues

1st. Found a bug

I just moved from my Nighthawk to a carrier at a POS maint Array, my nighthawk flew off and parked near the tower instead of entering the hanger and my carrier was then stuck in space unable to move with my onboard. Had to relogin.

2nd

What the hell is this terrible new inventory system, at least learn from Incarna and give people the option to turn that functionality off. Im currently trying to do research on another toon and I am finding it crap and more hard work for no extra benefit.

As an extra Missiles and effects very nice.

why when i go to a pos do i see all the guns as cans? i dont wnat to see the guns, unless im flying over to them to drop ammo into them.

why cant i have short cuts(like teh old ones you removed) for things like corp hangers, fuel bays, ship maint bays. regardless to if it was in station or a pos or right clicking stuffs in space? when you right click(not ******* shift clcik) they open that cargo destination, and once that window is open i can stack it with another and it will stay where the **** i left it.

why have you reduced the simple functioning of teh system into a shift clicky fest of anoyance?

OMG when can i get a pic here

According to wikileaks a internal memo between the CIA and CCP is going to be released very soon. The content pertain towards the use of the new inventory system CCP has created and it's use as a replacment for waterboarding that is currently frowned upon.

Whilst to many this may be shocking news it does help explain why CCP changed a workable interface into something so unfriendly that no other reason for its existence could ever explain its being.

I hope my fellow capuleers fly safe during these pressing times and if you see new players logging on and offering all there stuff in exchange for one trit them please be mindful that they may be a terroist doing advance counter tourture training.

That is all.

PS this is not spam - it is a meaningful insight into a unmeaningful interface and for many explains how it came about and to many more the only reason it ever got made.

So how much longer do we have to wait for the option to remove this form of torture you haev bestowed upon us?

You are not forced to test. True.
You are also not paid to test. True.

CCP gives you the possibility to test, and they ask kindly for it.

This gives two advantages:

  • You will know, what is awaiting you, and you can adapt to it, before the new feature hits the working system. You may also add your opinnion on it, and the developers might consider it.
  • Letting the customers test raises the probability of finding even very hidden problems. Sometimes the users use the product in a way, the developer had not thought of; or were not aware of special situations.

Why - for example - does Microsoft gives out "previews" of Windows8?
Why are there closed and public betas of games?

Surely not "for fun" or just "advertisement".

@CCP - sorry for spoiling this issue thread with this post.

^^ Idiot!
That is exactly the point! YOU HAVE TO SHIFT-CLICK every time you want to open a window separately! We NO like dis! UNDERSTAND?

so you are going to blow up the forums over something that is obviously something that you are only complaining about because you can? it's one extra click whoopdy do... they wont change that... so get over it and stop blowing up the forums, there are multiple other more important matter to be attended to by CCP than an extra mouse click... gtfo the forums

Inventory UI feedback / issue:

Individual Inventory windows do not remember their "view" (Icons / Details / List) state between game sessions.

For instance, if I enable the "Ships" and "Items" tabs w/in the Station Services window and set the view type to List and, separately, set my ship inventory window to "Icons" when I log back into the game, the ship window has inherited the Station Services window configuration setting (List).

I have not tested whether a session change such as undocking or moving through a gate also impacts display choices.
