I'm not keen on this new idea of showing the full station name when you autolink it in chat despite only using the system name for the link text. We had a useful chat channel that corp members could use for handy system/station links in the MOTD, up until yesterday it was nice and neat, after the expansion it's an unreadable mess.

This, I mean what the hell? fix this after you are done fixing "the window" please for the love of god. You get the inventory working right, and fix this and you have me back.

so you added 'to captains quarters' (an option no one cares about, and is on the station panel). didnt remove undock, cos there is a BIG UNDOCK BUTTON.
you also didnt trim any of the useless fluff from the list. show info, add to market quick bar, find in contracts, view market details, buy this type.

and instead you removed all the stuff that was useful on a docked ship. open corp hanger, open fuel bay, open ship maintance bay.

you then repeated the same removel of functionality on everything you could lay your hands on. pos hangers, assemblys etc etc.

im struggling to think of a good reason why you did this. can you let me know please?

Congratulations CCP an awesome Patch where the whole intention seems to be to antagonise the Miners and industrialists.. and those idiots with pos's who obviously shouldnt have them.. way to go.

If you really didnt want us to be out there mining asteroids then why didnt you just say so? Shocked

Once you figure out controls new Inventory is decent UI item just requiring a lot of adjustment in habits.


However, figuring out controls for complex new UI widgets is not always obvious to everyone. Sure I tried SHIFT +Mouse right off.
But it didn't immediately occur to me to click on container entries in explorer tree list pane to get vital second inventory windows. I would not be surprised if tons of neat operations go undsicovered.


SO...

TIME for CCP to add a standard HELP button to each UI widget that details the mystery of commands and control operations: text, mouseover diagrams and/or video. (LOL I know chat has moderator commands but I have no idea where.) Searching 10,000 of forums posts covering years of change should not be necessary for understanding each new UI operation.

I sugggest a big question mark just to the left of minimize or maybe the words UI HELP.

By default UI HELP or the ? should explain the grand scheme of the box/window/tab it is attached to from overview to specifics starting with most commonly needed commands.

One thing I really dont understand is, howcome the ship you are currently piloting does not show in the ship hanger?
Instead it becomes just text in the tree window? This is madness. After quickly logging on you have made it less obvious what ship one is in.

CCP we appreciate you trying to update the game. What I dont understand is why did you do something no body ever asked for when you have mountains of problems in other areas?

The good old days of Unreal Tournament, fragging and sniping on Facing Worlds, listening to Foregone Destruction.......

I guess the chat channels bug was reported many times (and I hope fixed by the time I get back from work) so just wanted to report a couple of issues related to the rats that happened after the expansion release:

- rats disappearing from the belt - not warping off, just disappearing (no "warp interference" message, no nothing, just gone)
- locking and damage showing at the "locked target" - I had some of the rats locked and I was shooting them, but the damage was not showing on the "locked target" icons - also shooting the new target required "re-locking" it, but it was happening insantly (not with the normal scan res speed of my BS for sure)

This happened only once so had no chance to get any screenshots.

Corp and alliance chat still bugged with everyone still logged in - who are offline - all other channels seem to be ok.

The new inventory, ummm... Sweet mother of mercy what the hell where you guys smoking when you thought that idea up. What was so wrong with the old inventory system that you had to go and pluck this load crap out of your ar$e$.

Other than the inventory I like the what I have seen so far in the expansion.

PS Please fix the inventory so that it doesn't pop up every time you jump through a gate or dock up.

I just did a mining run. Mind you that it's ******* hulkageddon, so efficiency and speed are key to not getting your ship blown up. Yes, yes, yes, miners are horrible creatures with 40 arms that must all be purged, yaddah yaddah. I suck at PVP, so I play my way. Onwards.

First of all, I had to reset all my settings and clear window locations just to fix the stupid inventory-popping-up-every-time-you-jump issue. Thanks, now I have to redo my ******* overviews and move stuff around. 5 minutes, but at this point, I'm not in my Retriever yet, still on the way to my station.

Need to transfer 3 skillbooks I have in my Incursis's cargo hold to the hangar. Old way is just ******* dragging them over. New way? Open inventory, wait 5 seconds to load. Find the ship in the tree. Open ship. Wait 5 seconds for ship's hold to load. Drag crap over to hangar, being careful not to accidentally drop into a cargo container.

Time to get into the retriever. Inventory's open. Right-click, make active.

Scan local. What's this? 100 people in local? WTF? Fortunately, none of them have negative security, so I undock. Then I notice something odd. I didn't see them in station, and they're not in d-scan. Oh, right. CCP can't handle sessions correctly, so there's ghosted chat sessions. Silly me, needing to know if there's someone there waiting to blow up my ******* ship. Next I'll find out that d-scan's broken too.

Warp off to one of my mining bookmarks. Thankfully, CCP hasn't broken that yet. Mine for a few minutes, hold is full.

Now, since I'm a lone ranger and don't have anyone running hauling, I dump a jetcan. Right-click, open cargo.

What the flying ****? It just adds it to the inventory window. It doesn't even switch over to it. Shift-click to open new window, wait for it to load. Mine for a while.

Oh look, the servers are shutting down. 5 minutes before DT. Time to pull in some ore. Drag over to cargo hold. Start getting up to warp speed, 4 minutes. Dock. 4 minutes, 40 seconds. Open inventory, find my Itty 3. 4 minutes. Make active, undock, warp to. 3:30. Open up ship cargo hold. 3:10. Open jetcan. Open new window for jetcan. Drag **** from jetcan to cargo hold. 2:45. Dock at station. 2 minutes left. Open inventory, open ship, drag from ship carefully to hangar. Stack all. 1 minute.

Your inventory system sucks. Revert please.

This is the biggest issue of the new patch. Purge it instantly out from Eve.

Some of the issues should be fixed after DT today, yay! (selection of patch notes of most referred to issues) :

  • Fixed a problem where players didn't leave correctly chat channels, leading to server-side performance problems.
  • Corrected the wording in the Notification text when capturing Factional Warfare complexes.
  • When securing a capture point in Factional Warfare the text will no longer remain on screen and will behave normally.
  • The Target Breaker skill book got seeded and is now available.
  • Blueprints for Valkyrie SW-600 and Warrior SW-300 web drones got seeded.
  • Light Defender Missile blueprint got seeded.
  • Drone Damage Amplifier I and [Small/Medium/Large] Processor Overclocking Unit I can now be invented to get Tech II versions.
  • Fixed an issue where the new Unified Inventory would reopen every time a character jumped, docked, undocked or otherwise performed a session change.
  • Inventory window locations that are still accessible between docking and undocking will now remain open. For example a ships Drone Bay, if opened in a separate window.
  • Fixed an issue where players could not edit their Smart Filters.
  • Fixed an issue where Corporation hangars would not load correctly.
  • Attempting to move mixed groups of items into hangar locations that can only accept a specific item type, will now transfer the items allowed.
  • Fixed an issue where icons would remain on the Neocom even though the window had been closed.
  • Kill Reports now say Unknown when we don’t know ISK value, instead of 0.00 ISK.
  • Fixed an issue where "Approach" and "Jump" functions were not functioning when orbiting or keeping an object at range.
  • Resolved an issue when using the strip fitting option in the fitting window.

after doing missions several of the modules fited to the ship somehow get damaged (shield rechargers, ballistic controls, shield extenders)
tried just flying around and nothing got damaged

Thanks for the heads up, but I think us really pissed people are all over the dev post button, waiting on some real comments on what direction you are going to be heading with this now.
